Dr Dre Buries His Son

Superproducer Dr. Dre buried his son on Friday (August 29), Andre Young, Jr.

According to TMZ.com, more than 200 mourners turned out for the funeral, which took place in Glendale, California at the Church of the Recessional.

The 20-year-old was found dead last Saturday (August 23) by his mother, who called 911 at around 10 a.m. Despite paramedics’ efforts, he pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy was done last week, but it did not reveal the cause of death. Further tests have been ordered to try to discover the cause.

"We don't know yet why he died," the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner told People. "There were no signs of trauma or foul play. We'll be doing toxicology and other tests, which will take up to six weeks.

"The test is "mainly to determine whether alcohol or drugs played a part in a person's death," Capt. Winter said.

Young had been out with friends the night prior, and his mother told police that "she recalled hearing him snoring around 5:30 a.m."

"Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son," the rapper's publicist Lori Earl said in a statement Tuesday. "Please respect his family's grief and privacy at this time."

Dr. Dre has four other children -- sons Curtis, 26, Marcel, 17, and Truth, 11, and daughter Truly, 7.

The Game Charged With Battery For Funeral Brawl

The Game has been reportedly charged with criminal battery for allegedly punching his cousin during a family funeral last month.

According to TMZ, the Hawthorne City Attorney officially charged the rapper (real name: Jayceon Taylor), after his cousin Robert "Kirky" Kirkwood filed a police report days after the funeral of Game's cousin and Kirkwood's sister.

The altercation was reportedly over money. Kirky told TMZ that he and Game got into an argument outside the church where the service was held, over the cost of the funeral, which he says the rapper agreed to pay for.

Kirky claims Game agreed to cover the funeral costs, but when it came time to pay up, the rapper left him and his family with the bill.

Game later explained that he felt as though his relatives were trying to extort money from him when he felt it wasn't his obligation.

The rapper said he did agree to pay for the casket and flowers, but Kirky's family rejected to the offer.

"I feel like they were just trying to play me out of [$17,000]," Game said during an interview on Arizona's 98.3 radio station back in July. "I talked to my mom about it. My mom said 'you should pay for the casket and the flowers, if you wanna do anything.' They rejected that because they wanted me to pay for the whole thing."

After the family squabble, where Game allegedly punched Kirky, the rapper said his family was now his worst enemy.Referencing a line from the late Notorious B.I.G. Game said, "Mo money, mo problems. Now, my family is my worst enemy. I hate them more than I hate 50 man."

According to TMZ, Game is currently on probation for a previous firearms offense -- which landed him in jail earlier this year -- and if convicted of this new battery charge, a judge could violate him and throw in jail.

Funny Stuff!!! South Park Wheel Of Fortune

I don't know if any of you have seen this before, but it's hilarious. I hope you guys have a sense of humor! It's all in fun. We make fun of white people all the time, so chill out!

Frank Lucas Wants ALL His Money Back

As much money as retired drug lord Frank Lucas made back in the day, how come he didn't have some stashed away somewhere seceretly? Well reports are saying that big Frank is super tight with the bread. Frank Lucas Sr. was appearing in a video for his son Frank Lucas Jr.'s song "Let's Go" when he made things more realistic by doling out $50,000 in cash to Tristan Wilds(The Wire, 90210) and 12-Pack of (I Love Money) to toss at a bevy of strippers. Once that scene was done, the doors were locked and no one was allowed to leave until every dollar was accounted for.

Tisha Campbell-Martin Back On The Small Screen

It's a Martin reunion in the making... well, not quite, but who knows. I'm trying to keep hope alive on that idea because I loved that show.

The real scoop is that Tisha Campbell-Martin will be making a multi-episode appearance on the CW's show Everybody Hates Chris. So it's somewhat of a semi-Martin reunion. She'll be back on the set with her pal Tichina Arnold who plays the mom on that show.

Campbell-Martin will channel Peaches, a sexy, edgy, vibrant ghetto princess who moves back to Bed-Stuy after a stint in prison and strikes up a frenemyship with Arnold's Rochelle.

Chad Johnson Legally Changes Name To "Ocho Cinco"

So Chad Johnson finally did what he said he was going to do. What's that you ask? The Cincinnati Bengals receiver has legally changed his name to Chad Javon Ocho Cinco in Broward County, Fla., a switch that became official this week, according to several media reports. Johnson, who lives in Miami, didn’t return a message left on his cell phone Friday night.

"It’s something I don’t think anyone has ever done before,” he told the team’s Web site. “Have I ever had a reason for why I do what I do? I’m having fun."

Two years ago, Chad gave himself the name Ocho Cinco, which in spanish translates to the numbers 85, which is his jersey number on the team. He even went as far as to put it on the back of his uniform before a game. Quarterback Carson Palmer ripped it off before the kickoff. After the season, coach Marvin Lewis—who dislikes Johnson’s attention-getting stunts—referred to the receiver as “Ocho Psycho.”

Was Vibe Mag Being Racist Against Robin Thicke?

I think myself, along with a lot of other people are hoping that this isn't true, but what does Robin Thicke have to gain by lying about something such as this? Robin Thicke claims that he did an interview for Vibe and asked if he could get the cover. Their answer? Read below to find out.

“When I did a recent interview with Vibe magazine I asked, “Why can’t I get the cover? This is a magazine I love. If there’s one magazine that I’d want to be on the cover of, it’s Vibe.” Their response was they don’t have white artists on the cover; that the only white artist they’ve had on the cover was Eminem. I guess if that’s what it is, it is what it is. And I respect that because I live in a house with a black woman.

I won’t use the word “racism.” I will say it’s a tough — but rewarding —fight. I look at Mary J. Blige, somebody who has had only a few pop hits and yet has changed culture, generated new sounds and inspired leagues of artists. She’s now a worldwide phenomenon. And it’s because of what she stood for; she never gave up. She kept making great music, pouring her heart out to people.

You can’t always expect people to be as color-blind or open-minded as you want. What you can do is keep giving your heart and soul, like Bob Marley did. His music became so overwhelmingly loving; it was a relentless love in a sense. Keep beating them down with love and they can’t stop you.”

Damn Vibe! Soooooo does Eminem not count as being white? I mean geesh. Robin is married to a black woman. But I guess that's still no consolation huh?

Barack Made History

If you didn't watch it last night... get off my blog! I'm just kidding, but seriously, if you didn't watch the finale of the DNC when Barack Obama made history as the first black man announced his acceptance as the Democratic Nominee for the next President of the United States, then you missed out.

I was glued to the television all night until it went off. I wanted to be a part of the history and I wanted to be witness to the magnitude of the whole thing. It was an electrifying experience. I guess those 84,000 people that were in attendendace were punch drunk with ambition and hope from drinking the Barack Obama kool-aid!

Several things that Barack touched on last night ring out in my mind, but the one that resonates the most is when he said:
We don't work for us, we work so that the next generation will live better!
People tend to forget what legacies we are leaving behind. If we ruin what little we have now, what will our children and grandchildren have to look forward to?

Did Halle Berry And Her Beau Tie The Knot Secretly?

Do I spy with my little eye a wedding band on Halle's left hand? Are we keeping secrets Ms. Berry or should we say Mrs. Aubry?

We're not mad at you Halle, but dang, you could have given us an announcement or sum'n. Of course it's your perogative. But I thought you said you weren't getting married again? Maybe it's a committment ring? Could very well be.

A-Team Dropped From Hot 107.9 Morning Show, Replaced By Rickey Smiley

For those of you who don't live in Atlanta, I'm sure you don't really care about this post, but for most Atlanta folks, especially those between the ages of 18-35 who listen to Hot 107.9's A-Team Morning show, I have some sad news for you. I was listening this morning and heard that Hot 107.9 today got rid of the morning show, the A Team, consisting of Rashan Ali, Griff, Beyonce, Akini and Emperor Searcy. (From two sources, I hear Rashan will do mid-days and Searcy will go back to late afternoons, but I’m not sure what happens to Beyonce and Akini. Griff’s publicist confirmed that he is out.)

The Web site was updated in the evening to show Beyonce still having a shift on the weekends. That bodes well for her. And Mizz Shyneka and Durrty Boyz seem fine for now. But no sign of E4Real. Temporarily, it appears Rashan and Searcy will do the mornings without Griff for now.

Here’s Griff’s official statement:
“The last 3 years and 6 months at Radio One have been a life changing experience. I thank my spiritual Father for the friends that I’ve met and worked with because I’ve learned so much and have grown as a person here in Atlanta. I’m excited about my future, I have a strong team of people helping to take me to new heights, and I will continue to make people laugh all over Atlanta at events and comedy clubs, while serving the community through my foundation, Positive Vibes. When I got home today, I read a book that said: ‘On this day the will of God is done in my life.’ That was all the closure I needed.”

The station is replacing them with a syndicated show led by Rickey Smiley. Rickey was here a few days ago and did interviews but never once led on about taking on the Atlanta audience. Maybe he didn't want to jump the gun, or maybe he's just truly professional with it.

Happy Birthday: Michael Jackson

Kanye Misses His Mother

Kanye West made his way to the DNC to support his candidate of choice Barack Obama. But there was one thing missing to make the moment perfect for Mr. West. That missing link was his mom Dr. Donda West. Kanye was wishing that she lived to see Barack Obama anointed as the first black presidential nominee.

"It's an incredible time to be around," the rapper told the crowd during Thursday morning's ONE campaign party in Denver, according to the Associated Press. "I wish my momma could have seen this day," he said of Donda, who passed away last November due to complications following a plastic surgery procedure.

Jamie Foxx jumped on stage and declared, "We make history, man. "If you ready for Obama, make some noise," he added, "Yo man, let's do this for Obama." And the duo then performed their tune "Gold Digger."

Faith Caught Lil Kim Naked With Biggie?

Yes indeed... Faith Evans is telling it all. In what could undoubtedly be the longest running female feuds in Hip Hop history, the love triangle between legendary emcee Notorious B.I.G, his wife (Faith Evans), and his protege Lil Kim. But now Faith wants to give you her side of how everything went down. Faith speaks very openly in her new book "Keeping the Faith". Most notably, Evans writes the details of when she caught Lil Kim red-handed (and completely naked) in the bed of her husband. Evans writes:

"I don't know what got into my head. But I decided that I needed to know once and for all what Big was really trying to do. On that night before Christmas, I drove to Big's house on a mission to find out where I really stood.

The security guard at the gate just waved me in when I pulled up. It was Christmas Eve and she'd seen me come into the complex with the kids, so I guess she didn't think anything of it. I parked in the rear of Big's town house and walked up to the garage. It was locked. I hadn't been over to Big's house a whole lot but I did know that you jiggle the garage door a certain way and unlock it.

I got into the garage, where there was an elevator that would take me to both floors of Big's duplex. There I was, rocking a black skully cap and a heavy goose-down jacket, tiptoeing into the elevator and pressing the button to go up to the second floor, where his bedroom was located. I got to Big's bedroom door, turned the knob, and went inside. As soon as I saw a small lump next to Big's large frame, I flew into a rage, ran over to the side of the bed, and pulled back the covers. I grabbed some chick out of the bed and started beating her ass. At some point, the chick's wig came off in my hand; it was a short, cropped wig. I stopped throwing punches for a minute to get a good look at the chick I was beating up. It was Lil Kim. She was completely butt-naked, yelling as I pushed her around the room.

'So you not f***king her, right?' I screamed at Big. 'Yeah, you not messing with her anymore, right?'

When they heard all the commotion, Cease, D-Roc, and Gutter came running into the room. 'Oh sh**!" they yelled in unison. 'It's Faye! How the hell she get in here?'

Big sat up in bed and pointed at Kim, who was standing in a corner of the room, trying to cover her naked body with her hands while I was still yelling at Big. 'Yo, get her outta here,' Big said. They led Kim out of the room and she screamed and cursed the whole way.

It was absolutely crazy in that house. Kim was naked and being led somewhere to get dressed. I was still screaming on Big. Damion, Cease, and Gutter were laughing in amazement that I would be so bold. And Big looked like he was just too through with all of us. He sat up in bed shaking his head. Kim left the house and I stayed, talking to Big about why he couldn't be honest with me about her.

'I thought it was all about Tiffany?' I asked. 'You still messing with Kim, too?' Big had nothing to say.

I have to say I actually felt some pity for Kim. Big had a wife, and she settled for messing with him. Then he started dating Tiffany (rapper Charlie Baltimore) and Big had a wife and a mistress. And Kim still settled for being the other other woman. It seemed pretty sad to settle for that.

When I left a few hours later to get the kids, I noticed that Kim had taken my key to my Land Cruiser and scratched up my entire car, from the hood to the back bumper. Even though we ended up having sex that day, at that point I decided I was 100 percent through. I was not going to be a ride or die chick, always going to lengths to show Big how I felt. I was the mother of his child and his wife. But I was going to have to let go."

Yez'zir!!! I am definitely coppin this one! Source

T.I. Takes A Big Leap On Billboard

T.I. establishes the mark for biggest jump to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, as "Whatever You Like" soars 71-1 in its third week on the list. A No. 1 opening on Hot Digital Songs with debut-week sales of 205,000 downloads is the impetus for the record-setting Hot 100 move, which surpasses the 64-1 hike taken by Maroon 5's "Makes Me Wonder" in the May 12, 2007, issue."Whatever You Like" is the rapper's first No. 1 as a lead artist (he was featured on Justin Timberlake's 2006 chart-topper, "My Love") and his opening-week digital sum is the best by a rap track since Nielsen SoundScan began compiling download data in 2003.

Anniversary Of The March On Washington

Long before I was born, and I'm sure most of you too, our nation witnessed one of the largest efforts to bring change to the land. On Aug. 28, 1963, that is 45 years ago people... more than 2,000 buses, 21 special trains, 10 chartered airliners and countless cars converged onto Washington D.C. in an effort to gain jobs and freedom. Crowd estimates ranged from 200,000 to 300,000. It was the largest demonstration ever seen in the nation's capital. This was the day that Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous "I Have A Dream" speech.

The march was organized by a group of civil rights, labor, and religious organizations. About 80% of the marchers were blacks and 20% white and other races. The march is widely credited as helping lead to the Civil Rights Act (1964) and the National Voting Rights Act (1965).

Isn't it ironic how today is the same day that Barack Obama formally accepts the Democratic Nomination for the first black president???

Sherri Shepherd Stays A View Co-Host

After much speculation about the fate of ABC's The View's newest panelist Sherri Shepherd, ABC has taken a step forward to squash the thoughts of those who are saying that she's the next one to be out. They have already unveiled the daytime show's latest promo picture to promote the upcoming fall season.

Quite a few of the messy tabloids and blogs around the world have been saying for weeks that Barbara Walters was planning to fire the newest of 'The View's' co-hosts Shepherd. But the release of the pic definitely gives no indication of that. The image includes Walters, Shepherd, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Elizabeth Hasselbeck in their first group photo shoot. Last season's images were digitally superimposed to make it look as though they were all together.

The 'National Enquirer' was the originator of the erroneous report that claimed that the HBIC Walters was offended by Shepherd's interview with the African-American Christian women's lifestyle magazine 'Precious Times.' In the magazine, Shepherd shared her perspective on once being Jehovah's Witness, coming to terms with her prior promiscuity and having to defend Christianity on live television. During the interview with 'Precious Times' publisher Marilyn J. White, Shepherd joked: "Oh sometimes I say, 'Lord, Juanita Bynum or Joyce Myers would be so good at this table. They could lay hands on Barbara Walters and get her saved.'" That comment and the her disclosure of multiple abortions created a whirlwind of media coverage on everything from 'Access Hollywood' to Fox News Channel and every blog and gossip column you can imagine. The 41-year-old former 'Less Than Perfect' star, who recently hosted the Daytime Emmy Awards with 'All My Children's' Cameron Mathison, has become an easy target for online blogs and tabloid fodder because of her honesty on 'The View.' From the very beginning of her tenure on the show in September of 2007, the almost-divorced mother of one came under scrutiny after a debate about Christianity with Walters and Goldberg was taken completely out of context and generated an onslaught of Jessica Simpson-like comparisons for Shepherd. "I was so nervous and all I heard was how many triglycerides does it take to make Pluto to when the Robitussin comes. And I was like, 'I don't know.' And you have one of those senior, brain poopy moments. But Elisabeth looked at me and said, 'Sherri, you know the earth is round.' And I was like, 'I know the earth is round,' she explained then. Regardless, ratings for 'The View' are higher than ever because of Shepherd and Goldberg and ABC executives anticipate the show will only get stronger and more exciting as the upcoming presidential election gets closer this fall.

Angel "Lola Luv" Wants To Be An MC

Video trick/Hip-Hop model Angel "Lola Luv" Fershgenet is furthering her career in film with a co-starring movie role with G-Unit front man 50 Cent.

Fershgenet confirmed her work with the rapper during a recent interview with Blok TV. Although she didn’t specify details surrounding the project, the model/actress revealed that the feature, titled Before I Self Destruct, is being produced and directed by 50 Cent, who also stars in the movie with Clifton Powell.

According to Fershgenet, the movie will be released "probably by the end of this year." Before I Self Destruct is one of a string of projects on deck for Fershgenet.

In addition to modeling, the rap video fixture is embarking on a career as an artist in the world of music. When asked to describe her foray into music, Fershgenet stated that she would pursue rapping rather than singing. "I got too much swagger to do anything else anyway," she said smiling.

Fershgenet’s new rap ambitions comes after her first film Crazy Like a Fox, debuted earlier this month at the 12th Annual American Black film Festival (ABFF) in Los Angeles. Although she doesn’t have a single coming out right now, Fershgenet did confirm that fans will get a musical offering from her before the end of the year.

"I’m working on my mixtape….I’m doing it all. I’m versatile," she said, "So definitely doing it all. Modeling, acting, music. All."

I guess next we can expect for Kermit The Frog to come out as the next rap sensation!

Suge Knight Arrested

Dude... if you don't sit yo old wanna be a "G" ass down somewhere... DAMN!!! Police say rap music mogul Marion “Suge” Knight is in a Las Vegas jail on drug and assault charges after he was accused of beating his girlfriend while brandishing a knife.

The 43-year-old Knight was arrested about 6:40 a.m. Wednesday on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of dangerous drugs without a prescription and battery domestic violence.

Police responding to a report of a car hitting a curb near the Las Vegas Strip say they found Knight standing over his longtime girlfriend with a knife in his hand. Police say the woman tried to run from the car, but Knight grabbed her.

He’s accused of having the drugs Ecstasy and hydrocodone when he was arrested. Knight’s lawyers, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, declined immediate comment.

Solange Snaps On News Reporter

WOW Solange is hood ain't she? I see she really is trying her best to go against the grain and rightfully so. Watch this clip as the anchor from Fox KVVU-5 attempts to begin the interview and Solange shuts her down! HA!!! Funny! But did you notice how she said "BROTHER IN-LAW"? Finally somebody in that family says it!

Wayne Brady Debuts His CD

My word... *deep painstaking SIGH*... Now we have Wayne Brady's cornball Jones self coming out with an album too? How much more foolishness can we stand?

On September 16 Wayne Brady will release his debut album on Peak Records/Concord Music Group titled - A Long Time Coming. I must admit, the Emmy Award winner is definitely an entertainer whose talent truly knows no boundaries. As a stage, screen and live performer Brady is unparalleled.

But now, he turns his attention to his first love: music. The 12-track R&B collection features Brady's own compositions standing side by side with his loving, inspired reinventions of such classics as Sam Cooke's "A Change is Gonna Come," The Beatles' "Can't Buy Me Love" and Stevie Wonder's "All I Do."

"I always thought that Wayne Brady was an amazingly talented performer with an incredible voice," says Andi Howard, president of Peak Records. "When asked by his producers if I would be interested in signing him as an artist to Peak my response was an emphatic, yes. Not only did he deliver a fabulous album, but an album that is extremely heartfelt and exceeded all expectations. It was indeed 'A Long Time Coming.'"

Brady linked with The Heavyweights, the superstar production team composed of Jack Kugell, Jamie Jones and Jason Pennock, to write and record the album. The Heavyweights' productions have sold more than 28 million albums and include work with such superstars as Jim Brickman, Martina McBride and Destiny's Child. The first single off the album entitled, "Ordinary," is a mid-tempo burner that pays tribute to the glorious simplicity found in every day life and love. Penned by the Heavyweights, Sarah Nagourney and Welford B. Walton II, the song is enhanced by Brady's nuanced, soulful delivery.

Arnelle Simpson Whoops O.J.'s Behind!

OJ is back in the news ya'll. This time, I think OJ is the one who needs the help though. Cops were called out to his Florida home after his oldest daughter Arnell, knocked him to the ground in a brawl over his girlfriend Christie Prody, sources said.

"Arnelle had a fight with Christie over Christies behavior. That's what started the whole thing," a source told the Daily News.

"Christie has some problems with drinking, and Arnelle got mad. O.J. said 'Don't talk to her like that,' and Arnelle pushed him." Dang Arnell... I guess you've had enough of your daddy's b.s. too huh?

The source said Arnelle, 39, called 911 in a fit of guilt after she toppled the 61-year-old on Sunday, giving him a minor head injury. The police report does not mention O.J.'s fall, but the National Enquirer, which first reported the story, quoted a source saying O.J. was "cut on the back of his head, blood was coming out the side of his mouth and his lip was cut."

The Enquirer is basically saying that Arnelle is mad with O.J. for giving his new girlfriend, Prody, who is 32 years old, money, all while his first love and high school sweetheart - Arnelle's mom, Marguerite Whitley has to work at Wal-Mart to make ends meet. It's pretty obvious that Arnelle has issues with either her daddy dating "pink toes" or her daddy not being with her mother. Either way, damn Arnelle. The Bible says, "honor thy mother and they father and your days will be long upon the face of the Earth". So with her honoring her mother and not her father, how does this work?

Sneak Of Da Week: JGoods Nike VXT II for Kids

How cute are these for your baby girl? JGoods has put together a new line of sneakers geared specifically for children and babies known as ‘Baby Goods’. I've always liked the fact that most parents don't just have fly sneaks on... so do the kiddies. This is the first pair of custom sneakers from the ‘Baby Goods’. The base sneaker is a Nike VXT II. The quality on these is just as good as you would expect from any JGoods custom sneaker. The shoes also come with a custom ‘Baby Goods’ sneaker box. The drawback on this... and yes, it's a deal breaker for me... these shoes are retailing for $450... dude, that's more than my car note. And we all know that the baby is only going to be able to wear them for maybe 3-4 months tops. But if you got the bread to buy em' then hey... go for what you know! Thanks to Sneakerobsession.com for this link.

Chris Brown And Rihanna Possibly Shacking Up

Just my own opinion... because I've seen and done it all... moving in together at a very young age just isn't the answer!

Although Rihanna and Chris Brown continue to play coy about their romance, the two could be ready to take things to the next level by shacking up together!

According to an insider, Rihanna , has been searching for a condo in the Los Angeles area since early July to share with Chris and has checked out units in Beverly Hills' Sierra Tower. Rihanna's so serious about finding them a new home that she has new listings e-mailed to her even when she's out of town.

"She and Chris want to live together," says the insider. "They play their music loud though, so they want a condo that's soundproof." Yeaaaaaaa, we'll see how this works out!

Shaq's Accuser Mary Jane Has Stalking In Her Veins

Fellas, please take this message and run with it... there are too many women for you to be literally running behind one. Do you guys not realize how vast the numbers are of us women out numbering you men?

Once again, the pot of stew gets a little bit thicker. The chick that has accused NBA baller Shaquille O'Neal of stalking her, Alexis Miller, an Atlanta rapper who goes by MaryJane, has got some skeletons of her own. We all know by now that she got a protective order against Shaq. FYI... it's not a restraining order because you can't get one in Fulton County, GA, only protective orders.

Apparently, Ms. Miller has a history of filing these orders against people or having them filed on her. I just learned that court papers were filed last year by a woman named Lakisha Renae Hall ordering Miller to stay 500 yards away from Hall and have no contact with her.

I know Shaq has got an amazing attorney, so finding out that Ms. Miller has filed a previous order against another man named Jonathan Stubbs back in October 2007, claiming that he stalked her and even pulled out a gun and fired it asking her "Who were you with?" That petition was dismissed because Miller never followed through.

All of this should be good news for Shaq, but I'm sure he wasn't worried about it anyways!

Dennis Northcutt Had Baby Mama Beat Up

These athletes just don't get it do they? First Ray Carruth now Dennis Northcutt. TMZ.com has uncovered a shocking lawsuit that was just filed by a woman who is claiming that Dennis Northcutt, wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars, is the father of her unborn baby, but get this... she's also claiming that he had someone brutally beat her up.

Sharri Henry alleges that this past May (08), when she was four months pregnant, she was at a spot in L.A. where Northcutt and his crew AND current girlfriend were all hanging as well. She claims that Northcutt had his cousin, who is a dude, to "maliciously assault, beat, strike and batter her (Plaintiff), her face and head with great force and violence ... causing severe and permanent disfigurement to her face.

TMZ confirmed the report with the LAPD that it actually did happen outside of the Falcon Blub in Hollywood on May 17. The lawsuit that Ms. Henry has filed with the L.A. County Superior Court alleges battery and conspiracy to commit assault. She's seeking unspecified damages.

TMZ spoke with Northcutt's agent, Jerome Stanley, and he attempted to dumb this down by saying that Ms. Henry was just a "jilted ex-girlfriend who is claiming to be pregnant with his child." and that she's just doing this for money. Stanley says Henry is upset because Northcutt dumped her for another girl. But he also states that "She verbally antagonized the guy who hit her." Sooooooo, is he trying to say that she deserved what she got?

The agent claims that Northcutt knew nothing about the incident until after it had all went down. Ms. Henry's lawyer, Loyst P. Fletcher, gave TMZ the following statement: "Mr. Northcutt and his entourage, which included his current girlfriend, were apparently angry that Miss Henry refused to abort a child that she believed he fathered. Words were exchanged and a member of that entourage, whom we believe is Mr. Northcutt's cousin, viciously attacked Miss Henry." She's now 7 months pregnant. BTW, Northcutt just inked a $17 million contract with his team.

G-Unit Reality

*SIGH*... I thought I was going to be sick when I heard that Ray-J was getting his own reality show... but I definitely know that now, I need a bucket!

Reports are coming out that the G-Unit crew are going to be getting their own reality show on MTV. I guess if Three Six Mafia could do it, so can 50 and the girlzboys. What could these three possibly do or say that could be of any interest to the public? I am shocked and appalled. LOL!!! I guess I shouldn't be shocked. I think we all knew this day was coming when these three clowns would totally invade our televisions for more than 10 mins of fame.

SupaHEAD Retires.... From What?

It's so funny how this... I won't even call her what I want. She's not even worth the spit that comes from the back of my throat! Anyways, I went out to Studio 72 this weekend to check her out and she is just as everyone thought. Classless and nasty. She got on twitter.com and talked greasy to my fellow blogger BlogXilla and said that she couldn't stand how black people are always talking "sista this" and "brotha that", when we're always tearing each other down, blah blah blah. Claiming to be on some reformed hooker -ish, but in this video you can see that she's still a rat. But it didn't matter because Xilla shut her ass down quick fast. Trying to talk like she's super gutter putting up this big front. You get on Oprah and all these shows trying to speak prim and proper. Yeah, you're good for turning it on and off, but you claim "I'm real". Then stay real 24/7. I mean, since you're a freakin "G". I don't care what you say about her, she's tacky and trash. Anybody can write a book about sex eploits and become famous. But what respect do you have from anyone? I'd take the respect in the game any day over forever having the reputation of being just another *ick suckin trick. Especially if I have a child AND a son at that. How do I expect for him to respect women when I don't even respect myself?.

Now your integrity as a woman is completely compromised but I'm sure you don't care huh? You take your ass on radio stations and hang up on them when they ask you questions about your past because "they need to respect the woman that you are now"! Broad are you for real? YOU are the one who put your business out there for everyone to judge. You want people to look at you in a different light but what are you really doing to change that putrid image that you have painted in everyone's mind for you? Are you writing self-help books. Are you doing some womens lib stuff? Nope. Instead what do you do? You keep writing more books about your freaktales! And you're still doing the same things! And we need to respect you? HA! Gimme a freakin break!

Anyways, watch the video if you care to hear what she has to say about "retiring". Retiring from what? Suckin *ick? PLEASE. And you're movin to the "A". Ladies watch your husbands, boyfriends, sons, and daughters. I'm sure she'll get down with anything that moves!

Mos Def Isn't Camera Friendly

I've always thought that celebs need not spazz out when someone takes their pictures... especially when it's in a public place. To hop over the walls of someones home or completely invade thier privacy on that persons on property is definitely a no no; But when you're at a public event... I'm sorry buddy but, you're fair game!

Well I guess a pap had to learn that the hard way in Las Vegas. According to reports, Mos Def was in Vegas for the Magic Convention and upon his entrance into the event, someone snapped a pic. Now most folks in the industry know that Mos Def isn't a big fan of people taking his pictures without his consent, so I'm guess that whoever the person is was either new to the game, or maybe just a fan, who knows.

Once the picture was taken, all hell broke loose. Mos Def flipped out on the photographer. According to witnesses, he began yelling "Everyone knows I don't take pictures!" Well obviously this dude didn't. Anyway, Mos allegedly grabbed the camera and ended up breaking it and somehow the photog ended up bloody too. It's also being said that Mos gave him fair warning.

As expected, the photog reportedly plans to sue Mos Def. Mos was supposed to make an appearance at the event, but instead just bounced. I'm lost though. Why don't you want your pictures taken? Didn't YOU sign up to be a celebrity? Who the hell are you hiding from Dante?

Jay Z ReOpens The Palladium

I have some good news for all of you L.A. babies!!! The Palladium is baaaaaaaaaack! I remember begging my mom to let me go to the Palladium with my older cousin because I heard how hype it was! Damn!!!

After being closed and going through some major renovations for more than a year, the infamous Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles will open its doors Oct. 15 with a concert by the Jigga Man himself, Jay-Z, who will be accompanied by a 12 piece band.

The 4,000-capacity Hollywood Palladium has been shuttered since last April to undergo top-to-bottom renovations. The upgrades include an overhaul of the venue's interior and exterior, a new dance floor, expanded concessions, upgraded restrooms and improvements to the stage infrastructure.

Tickets for the Jay-Z concert go on sale Sept. 5 via livenation.com. LiveNation holds a long-term lease to operate, manage and exclusively book the Hollywood Palladium.

Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns Becomes a TV Sitcom

The Turner Broadcasting Station (TBS) recognizes a good thing (money) when they see it. And they've definitely struck a gold mine in putting Tyler Perry on to their staff.

Another Tyler Perry play has been tapped as part of the networks line up. Meet The Browns will be TBS' newest show come January 2009. This comes after the tremendous success that Tyler Perry has had with the current show on that station "House of Payne"which has aired 100 episodes since it's start.

Just like with The House of Payne, TBS will start out slow with Meet The Browns by only ordering just 10 episodes for January 2009. Then again, the release implies that this 10-episode run of “Meet the Browns” could mean more episodes forthcoming if it does well.

According to a press release:

“Meet the Browns” stars David Mann as Leroy Brown, a character who earlier this year was featured in Perry’s hit film of the same name.  He has also appeared in several episodes of “House of Payne” on TBS. Perry’s new series begins after Brown inherits a dilapidated house from his deceased father.

I'm just itching to see what this cast will look like. Of course, I'm sure Brown and his wife will be on this show, but I doubt if any of the others from the movie make it on there.

“House of Payne” has 26 new episodes set starting in December with production beginning in September.

Michelle Obama... U R The Woman!!!

Michelle Obama's glowing and intimate endorsement of her husband, coupled with a sweet shout-out by their 7-year-old daughter Sasha made the kickoff added to the emotional kickoff of the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

The First Lady hopeful recounted her early love with Obama -- and described how, during their marriage, politics hadn't changed her hubby. "He's the same man who drove me and our new baby daughter home from the hospital 10 years ago this summer," Michelle said. "After all that's happened these past 19 months, see, the Barack Obama I know today is the same man I fell in love with 19 years ago."

During Michelle's exchange with the Illinois senator -- who spoke via satellite -- the couple's youngest tot Sasha blurted, "I love you, Daddy," -- stealing the spotlight from her well-known father.

Ruben Studdard In Tax Trouble Too

No Ruben... everything is not a-ok for you buddy.

Ruben Studdard, 29, has a hefty tax debt of nearly $200K in unpaid taxes, reports the AP, citing court filings showing that the Feds and Alabama have placed liens on Studdard's property.

It seems the singer has a problem with unpaid income taxes for 2003 and 2005, but his Birmingham attorney, Byron Perkins, told the Birmingham News that his client has the dough to pay. Ruben was named "Idol" in 2003, just edging out Clay Aiken for the title.

Alabama developer John Elkington is wondering if the liens on Studdard's goods will affect Ruben's six-figure investment in a Birmingham club expected to bear his name.

Techy Talk: Bulb Caps

This is great for those folks who have that one or several boring little bulbs that dangle froma string in your closets, or basements or where have you. These bulbs make great shades for those lonely lights.

It's just a simple little cap that you can slip onto the light bulb itself. The disadvantage of using the bulb caps is that you can't use them on any and every type of light bulb. You can only use them on a regular bulb that does not exceed 40 watts which isn’t very bright. But for the more economical bulbs, there is no limit.

One cool thing is that after you turn off the light the lampshade will glow a green/yellow tone for a short while after the light has been turned off. Which might be nice for younger kids as they are falling asleep, just depending on how brightly it glows and how long it will last. It is made out of a heat resistant silicon rubber and comes in shades of green, luminescent, orange, red, turquoise and lilac. I guess another draw back would be the price. Just for one bulb shade, it's $20. I know it's a cute idea, but it ain't that damn cute... especially in this economy. Click here to purchase a bulb
