Whitney To Release 7th Album

For all of you Whitney Houston fans... your day has finally come! Expect the new Whitney album out this fall. This will be her 7th album since her self titled debut album was released back in 1985 before all the hoopla with Bobby was ever even thought of. Arista has yet to release the title of Whit's album, but they have given a release date of September 1, 2009 worldwide.

Ciara Puts On A Show!

I see that Ciara is still doin the damn thang! She's on tour in London and opened up last night for Britney Spears at the O2 Arena, and from the looks of the pictures Ci Ci put on quite a show... but that's to be expected when you're trying to be bigger than Beyonce!

Bobby Brown and Girlfriend Deliver A Boy!

Mr. Bobby Barisford Brown is a fifth time father. He and his girlfriend Alicia Etheridge welcomed a baby boy late Saturday night. Bobby made the announcement at a Vegas nightclub where he jumped his happy ass on stage and took over the mic:

“I just had a little baby boy! His name is Cassius… he was born four days ago.”

Ohhhh that Bobby! These are the times when we really love you dude! This is Bobby's fifth child and his girlfriends first!

Angelina Jolie Tops Forbes Most Powerful Celeb List

There's a new sherrif in town and her name is Angelina Jolie. Well, not like she's all that or nothing, but she has just unseated the queen of talk shows, Oprah Winfrey as being the world’s most powerful celebrity, according to Forbes.

The actress grabbed the No. 1 spot from the Winfrey in the mags annual Celebrity 100 list, which ranks the rich and famous based on media exposure and career earnings over the past year.

Angie and her brood of children have all earned their spot by constantly being in the tabloids thus earning them a whopping $27 million, bumping her up from third place on last year’s list, Forbes said, adding that she wields more power due to high-profile turns in hit films such as “Wanted” and “Kung Fu Panda.”

Although Oprah is not the most powerful celeb, she is, however, still the highest earning celeb with $275 million. Can I just get 5 stacks Oprah??? Anyways, Madonna came in third, trailed by Beyonce, Tiger Woods, Bruce Springsteen and Steven Spielberg. Two other celebs tied up in Jolie’s tabloid universe — Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt — came in at eighth and ninth place, respectively.

Tenth place goes to Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant, thanks in part to endorsement deals scored after the Beijing Olympics. About halfway down the list sits a very familiar face: President Barack Obama. At No. 49, Obama’s the first sitting head of state to appear on this Forbes fixture because of his worldwide fame, his historic election and his career as a best-selling author.

Newcomers to the list: Alec Baldwin (No. 91); Meryl Streep (No. 64); Toby Keith (No. 59); Rascal Flatts (No. 42); TV host Glenn Beck (No. 81); and teen singing superstar Taylor Swift (No. 69). Although he’s one of the biggest acts in entertainment, Justin Timberlake went from 12th to falling off the list completely, since ending his lucrative “FutureSex/LoveShow” concert tour. Jennifer Lopez, Johnny Depp and Tyra Banks also dropped off the list. Are we really surprised by J-Lo and Tyra?

Andre 3000 Thinks Rap Is Just Fine Like It Is

Ohhhhhhh! If I wasn't a diehard Andre Benjamin fan, I'd be jonin on this picture sooooo hard!!! But I won't because he's my boy and I love him! Anyways, as I've stated many times over, I'm a lover of hip hop, and so is Mr. Benjamin.

Andre 3000 recently sat down with Vibe magazine and gave his opinion of the current state of today's rap music. When asked if he thought that today's rap music was hurting the hip hop scene, his response was,

“Nothing is wrong with rap at all. And the reason why I say that is because at any given time, you got to love rap because the only thing rap has ever said to people is “we gon’ tell how it is.” That’s the only thing that they’ve ever said. They didn’t say, “We gon’ sell a million records.” They didn’t say, “We gon’ get these endorsement deals”- none of that. Rap was always “I’m just gon’ tell it like it is…So my message to all the kids doing it is do it now because this is the only chance you’re going to get to do it…because you going to start getting older and you going to start editing yourself.”

Andre 3000 did go on to say he doesn’t listen to much new music. “Ain’t nobody rapping no more, everybody singing,” he said in an interview. “I’m just going to be honest with you: I listen to old music. I don’t even listen to rap that much, and not in a Kanye West-I don’t listen to rap no more-kind of way, but I listen to what I’m working on and old, old rap.”

That is definitely what's up!

Jeezy, TI & Kanye Jump On the Video Game Band Wagon

We all saw the pics and have heard the stories and Jay-Z and Eminem being one of the driving forces behind the latest video game craze in the upcoming “DJ Hero”, and once that news broke, er'body wanted to get a piece of the pie.

Young Jeezy, T.I., and Kanye West have also garnered positions in the newest game coming out called “Rapstar” video game, a direct competitor for “DJ Hero.”

“Rapstar” will be made by the newly formed 4mm Games, a company created in part by two co-founders of Rockstar Games. In the game, a performance is recorded using cameras for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Once a song is complete, players can then take a 30-second clip and upload it to the Rapstar online community.

An Executive Vice President at the company says the game will allow fans to create “the music video of the next generation that stars you.” Other features included in the game will be a Battle mode (where players alternate rhyming lyrics to score the most points) and Freestyle mode (that lets players perform their own raps and songs over instrumental tracks).

De La Soul Is Back!

For those of you who don't know me personally, I will tell you who I am... I AM HIP HOP!!! I love REAL hip hop! Not this rap crap that is played on the radio every 5 minutes. But music that I can get a meaning out of, or that I can really dance to... well that was back when dances had decent names and not this Stanky Leg mess!... Anyways... one of my all time fav hip hop groups are back in the lab prepping their next album.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, De La Soul's Posdnuos discussed the trio's next album and led on that we will be hearing music on the album from Chuck D and Flavor Flav on a track called "We Are (For the People)."

Pos also says that things are working our great on this album, which he also says is much better than their 2004 album "The Grind Date." Gabrielle Union Don't Like The Bloggers So Much!

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to take on one of us bloggers in the legal realm. Gabrielle Union has stepped up to the plate ladies and germs. The 36 year old Nebraska native says that she is sick and tired of bloggers calling her a homewrecker and making up lies about her love life.

Gabby has went out and hired an attorney to take legal action against one blog in particular- Bossip.com. Why Bossip? Because they posted a disreputable anonymous letter from an alleged "nameless pro-athlete's wife." Now ya'll know that she is supposed to be dating Miami Heat Guard Dewayne Wade and it all came out around the time he and his ex-wife Shiovaughn divorced.

Gabby has been linked to many athletes, actors, and big-wigs alike since her divorce from her ex-husband NFL baller Chris Howard in 2006. All Gabby is asking of the blog site is for them to remove the letter from its site, print a retraction and send a written apology to her.

Nas & Maxwell Are Buddies?

Brandy Settles On Wrongful Death Suit

R&B singer Brandy has finally settled in the wrongful death case that she caused back in 2006.

The R&B songbird has reached a settlement in the wrongful-death lawsuit brought on behalf of the children of the woman killed in a December 2006 multicar collision involving the former Moesha star.

According to settlement documents obtained by E! News, the kids—Mrwan and Kareem Mohamed—will each receive $300,000. The boys, who were then 15 and 11, were in the family's Toyota Corolla when it was struck by Brandy's Land Rover, killing their mother, Awatef Aboudihaj.

There was no immediate comment on the settlement from Brandy's lawyer or publicist

News: Segregation Still Exists!

Every year around the middle of springtime, maybe later, high schoolers prepare for their proms. Of course we all know that prom night is what most of us looked forward to that whole school year, and you knew that you were going to have a great time partying all night with all of your friends. Never once does it cross our minds that we could be could be seperated from our friends simply because of our race. It's something that the kids now take for granted becauseat least 99% of them have never had to experience anything like this. But in one small county in Georgia, this very same scenario has been occuring for decades, even now.

Just south of Atlanta, sits Montgomery County, which consists of several small towns that have populations no more than 2500 each. At Montgomery County High School, there is only 54 students in the senior class, and these kids are experiencing segregation at it's best.

Believe it or not, on May 1st, at the town community center in Vidalia, the white students had their prom; and on May 2nd, the black students had their prom at the same exact place. Same school, same event, same place; But still seperated because of their race.

Yes this is 2009 and our schools, churches, restaurants, etc... have all been desegregated for decades, but the small minded whites in Montgomery County still want things seperate. In Montgomery County, two-thirds of the population is white. Since 1971, when it's schools were integrated, Montgomery County still continued to hold seperate proms for their black and white students. The funny thing is... these people truly believe that proms such as these are "traditions" and they don't want them to change. Luckily for a few of the other towns, some of the smarter people have chosen to opt for change and adopt the ways of the modern world of today.

Last year, in his hometown of Charleston, Mississippi, actor Morgan Freeman offered to pay for the towns first integrated prom at Charleston High School. Unfortunately, despite his success, and notoriety, Freeman's offer was quickly shot down by the white parents, but dully embraced by ALL the students. What ended up happening? The white parents held their own "private prom". This exact situation is the reason why HBO has decided to do a documentary called "Prom Night in Mississippi,” which airs on the network in July.

The senior proms held by Montgomery County High School students — referred to by many students as “the black-folks prom” and “the white-folks prom” — are organized outside school through student committees with the help of parents. All students are welcome at the black prom, though generally few if any white students show up. The white prom, students say, remains governed by a largely unspoken set of rules about who may come. Black members of the student council say they have asked school administrators about holding a single school-sponsored prom, but that, along with efforts to collaborate with white prom planners, have failed.

According to Timothy Wiggs, the outgoing student council president and one of 21 black students graduating this year, “We just never get anywhere with it.” Principal Luke Smith says the school has no plans to sponsor a prom, noting that when it did so in 1995, attendance was poor. Students of both races say that interracial friendships are common at Montgomery County High School. Black and white students also date one another, though often out of sight of judgmental parents. “Most of the students do want to have a prom together,” says Terra Fountain, a white 18-year-old who graduated from Montgomery County High School last year and is now living with her black boyfriend. “But it’s the white parents who say no. … They’re like, if you’re going with the black people, I’m not going to pay for it.” “It’s awkward,” acknowledges JonPaul Edge, a senior who is white. “I have as many black friends as I do white friends. We do everything else together. We hang out. We play sports together. We go to class together. I don’t think anybody at our school is racist.” Trying to explain the continued existence of segregated proms, Edge falls back on the same reasoning offered by a number of white students and their parents. “It’s how it’s always been,” he says. “It’s just a tradition.”

Baby Sued For Unpaid Shoe Royalties

Well well well... what have we here? Cash Money Prez and CEO, Bryan "Baby" Williams is being sued for $200k in royalties. All over the Birdman shoes he's put out with Lugz.

Jari Kuosma who is owner of a Nebraska skydiving apparel store called "Birdman" gave the o-k to Lugs back in 2004 . In exchange, Kuosma was to receive 35% of the royalties from the sales that were paid to Cash Money. Three years later, Kuosma decided to end the agreement but he had still not been paid. I'm just trying to figure out how is "Birdman" YOUR own trademarked name???

In 2008, Cash Money and Lugz acknowledged over $500k in paid royalties, meaning Kuosma was owed $217,992.39. Despite a settlement arrangement where the lump sum was to be broken up into payments, Kuosma says he still hasn't been paid. He is now suing for what he is owed "plus interest, costs and fees as allowed by law."

Cassidy Stole Amber???

Now that Kanye and ex-girl Amber Rose are through, rapper Cassidy has come out with a track claiming that he stole this chick from 'Yeezy! How and why would anybody dump Kanye for Cassidy? Isn't dude like 5'5? And insanely immature? Hmph! Maybe that's what Ms. Rose likes! I mean she does like pu$$y, so why not Cassidy? Nevermind nevermind!!! Some of ya'll don't get it.

Anyways, so Cassidy spit the lyrics regarding the rumors over Beyonce's "Ego". Supposedly, Ms. Amber denied ever sleeping with Cassidy, but these lyrics tell another story...

Omarion Signs to Young Money Ent.

I'm not much of a twitter fan, especially when I can just text all the people that I need to talk to, but lately, Twitter has become the speaking board for celebs who want to make their status known to fans worldwide. Next on the mic is former B2K leader Omarion Grandberry.

last night, Omarion twitted his new status of being the latest artist signed to Lil Wayne's 'Young Money Ent'. The news broke after singer/actor Tyrese congratulated the 24-year-old singer on his newly inked deal.

"Congrats on Omarion signing his new deal to Young Money! This is gonna be a big year for you! Younng mula babyy!" twitted the Baby Boy actor on Saturday (May 30).

Omarion responded to Tyrese's message by thanking him and everyone for their ongoing support and then saying:

"Thanks 4 all the love yall!! Young Money! Omarion!! You will believe and see God's power!! I'm so humble I can't wait 2 give ya'll the new me," the Grammy-Award nominated singer responded.

Within the last year or so, Omarion had supposedly signed with Timbaland music label 'Mosley Music Group' but that fell through, but no one has spoken or heard any news on this. As you all know, Face Off was the last album that Omarion did and that was with Bow Wow, so this should be a nice start to an impending great relationship... as long as Baby don't get his hands anywhere near this project. Omarion joins musics latest sensation Drake, on the Young Money team. By the looks of this squad, the girls and the courgars will be lining up for miles and miles.... sans I!!!

Well Al. B. damned!!! (corny... I know). The king of 80's R&B drop them drawls music is back and In Full Effect <---If you're a real fan, you caught that.

I had heard for a while now that Al B. Sure was back in the studio pumpin out the tracks, but hadn't anything until this latest single. The single is titled "I Love It (Papi Aye Aye Aye)." Despite the long ass title, the song is Al B. at his best.

His voice has matured quite a bit as well. Nice mellow musical arrangement to accompany his smooth tone! Nice way to come back on the scene Al! We missed you! Check out the single and the the album sampler <---here.

Octomom Coming To A Television Near You!

Do we really need our televisions filled with more reality fucktackery? I think not! Regardless of what you folks feel, get ready, because it's coming!

I'm sure that most have forgotten about Nadya Suleman and her love for the kids, especially with all of the Jon & Kate hoopla as of late! Never fear my friends, Nadya and the fab 14 are on the way!

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ms. Suleman is getting her long awaited wish of becoming the star of her own show. She has at long last secured a deal to star, with all 14 of her children, in a reality show from 3Ball Productions.

Unlike Jon & Kate and the infamous Duggers and their brood of 18 kids, Nadya's show will be a more long-term, less intrusive project, more in line with a documentary that will chronicle her children's lives only through certain milestones, like birthdays and other special events.

It has not yet been sold to a network.

Buffie The Body Tells All!

More Video hoesVixen's expose their lives and all they've endured through life. This time, Buffie Carruth aka Buffie the Body, has written a book titled Vixen Icon. Here is an exerpt from the book as she talks about how she felt in high school about her body:

"I often got depressed because I wasn't thick,'' Carruth writes. "All my life through school, I've noticed that girls had to be cute and pretty, or you had to be fine as hell with some ass and hips to be an 'in' girl. Even if you didn't have big breasts, it was cool as long as you had some ass. I didn't have any breasts, no ass, and no hips and that shit made me feel so insecure. I looked like a damn boy!''

Buffie also gives us an inside look at how she got her now infamous backside that's got all of the brothas droolin and some of you women too! In the book, she tells the readers about a visit to the doctor who she calls "Dr. X," whose office was 25 miles from her home. Supposedly this myseterious doc gave her the magic formula to help her gain weight in all the right places. She explains that Dr. X gave her a list of foods, including peanut butter and pasta, along with a prescription for an unnamed liquid appetite stimulant.

Even though she had her doubts as to if this stuff would work, she went through with it all anyways:

"Believe it or not, in less than 2 weeks, I had already started noticing a weight gain!'' she writes. "My ass, hips and thighs were the first parts of my body to receive this blessing. I noticed a little weight gain in my stomach area, too, but not enough to get alarmed by. It was like my ass and thighs just took off and left the rest of my body. My body started changing so fast that it seemed like it happened overnight. Everyone was noticing it too-and I mean everybody!"

I'm sure that most of you know by now, but in case you don't, Christina Milian and R&B singer/producer/song writer The Dream have made their coupledom official by getting engaged. Not sure how I feel about this though. It seems a bit Nick Cannon MiMiish! Like... how likely is this couple? NOT at all in my book. I'm banking on Christina being "smitten" by The Dream and all of the smash records he's produced and written. Can we say... "I'm trying to revive my career!" I'm just sayin!
