"Why Did I Get Married Too" Being Filmed... Yeaaaa!

I'm super geeked that Tyler Perry decided to do a sequel to his $55 million movie "Why Did I Get Married". The sequel is titled "Why Did I Get Married Too" and will star all of the cast that was in the original film except Denise Boutte, who played Trina, the hooker who befriended Jill Scott and stole her raggedy ass husband. So with that news I'm wondering what will be Richard T. Jones' role? Will he try to fight the Sheriff for Jill Scott or will this one be about Lamon Rucker and Jill Scott going through ups and downs? I can't wait. I loved the first one, so I'm sure this one will prove to be just as good.

The movie is set for release on April 2, 2010, the start of next year's Easter weekend. In true Tyler Perry form, the first flick, 'Why Did I Get Married?,' was based on Perry's stage play.

Michaels baby sister, and presumably his closest sibling, Janet Jackson arrived at Van Nuys airport this morning from Atlanta. Janet has been filming Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married Too" for the last few months.

Is Janet Jackson Really Pregnant?

Is she or isn't she? I want to know. Maybe I need to call my connect real quick and find out. Hold on folks...

Ok... so I spoke to my really reliable source and they stated to me that she is but... it wasn't supposed to come out like this, which is why Jermaine Dupri went on the record with Us Weekly to say that Janet IS NOT pregnant... but why go through all of that if eventually we'll find out that she was and is?

Janet Jackson has reportedly been telling friends “Yes, I’m pregnant”, according to the latest issue of Life & Style magazine. Here are the captions from the cover: “Her dream’s finally coming true, but Janet’s scared about becoming a mom at 42. She’s overjoyed, but will a baby stop the fighting between her and boyfriend Jermaine Dupri?”

Janet Jackson Mystery Illness Revealed

Ok! So we now know what's been making Janet and her doctors cancel show after show after show over the last few weeks. And no, it's not what everyone was expecting Janet to be "expecting" either!

The mystery illness has been confirmed as migraine-related vertigo - despite her brother Randy earlier denying he had revealed she suffered from the condition. The superstar singer has been forced to cancel nine dates on her Rock Witchu tour, after the illness stopped her from performing. Jackson axed her first show in Montreal, Canada on September 29th after checking into a city hospital.

Soon after, her brother Randy reportedly told a Michael Jackson fan site that his sister had to withdraw from the show because she suffered from vertigo - a condition which makes the sufferer feel unbalanced and dizzy. Randy quickly denied the reports, insisting an imposter broke the bogus news, insisting the exclusive "interview never happened". However, Jackson's representatives have now released a statement stating the star has been diagnosed with "migraine-associated vertigo" - dizziness brought on by severe headaches.

A spokesperson tells E! News, "After a thorough medical evaluation, it has been confirmed that Janet's symptoms are being caused by a rare form of migraine called vestibular migraine or migraine-associated vertigo for which she is currently receiving treatment." And her manager, Kenneth Crear, insists the star is preparing to hit the stage again on Wednesday at the Verona Center in Washington, D.C.

He adds, "Janet wanted very much to resume her tour so as not to disappoint her fans, but she continued to suffer from vertigo and could not perform. She's a world-class entertainer and needs to be at the top of her game to give her fans the show they expect. She's feeling much better and is ready to hit the road again to finish the tour."

Usher To Launch Lingerie Line

15 minutes from being washed up R&B star Usher has plans to make the time you spend with your mate into pure seduction!

Usher is in the process of coming out with his own line of lingerie for men and women.

The ATLien was seen out at Paris Fashion Week at the Marlies Dekkers runway show, and while there, he gave a "confession" that he was trying to find some inspiration for his own line of undies.

Usher says that "comfort and intimacy" will be key in his new line. You can catch a glimpse into what he'll be coming out with in his new video for the track "Trading Places".

Usher is following the pattern of Janet Jackson with this idea. Remember I told ya'll about her line called Pleasure Principle due out in November. Well Chris Brown is also coming out with a line of mens boxers called "Fat Head"??? [insert your comments here cuz I have none on that one!]

JD... You Got Some "Splaining To Do!

Jermaine Dupri would definitely be on the "do I really want to be with you anymore" list right about now if he were my man.was our boyfriend.

First you put together this crappy album for me, and I no longer have a label home, then you throw up in my lap, and to top -ish off, I get sick and hospitalized and you don't come see me??? Oh heeeeeell naw!

While Janet was layed up in the hospital last night, Jermaine was seen out partying. He was spotted at Patrón's Music in Motion Tour Finale at Marquee nightclub in NYC where T.I. was performing. Not only did he stay for T.I.'s performance at 12:30 a.m., but he stuck around while DJ Berrie spun music late into the night.

"He was definitely having fun with his boys," says an onlooker. "He was one of the last people to leave the event."

Ok... giving him the benefit of the doubt, maybe Janet did talk to him, but reassured him that she was ok and that there was no need to come see her! Hmmm??? Maybe? Ya'll can believe that -ish if you want to!

Janet Jackson Hospitalized In Montreal

Janet Jackson was hospitalized in Montreal on Monday night according to the Associated Press. The singer “got suddenly ill,” during sound check and was rushed to a hospital before her show was due to kick off in the city according to a statement W&W Public Relations, released to the AP.

Jackson is reportedly being monitored at an undisclosed medical facility. She hopes to reschedule the show.

Janet, who by the way is 42, returned to the national tour circuit for the first time in seven years kicking off her “Rock With U” trek on September 10.

Just this past weekend however, one of Jackson’s dates – in Detroit, Michigan, was canceled according to a report in the Detroit Free Press. The show was canceled, reps for the star told the publication, due to “production constraints.”

Jermaine Dupri Is A Lightweight Drinker!

So JERMAINE Dupri is a little light in the ass huh? Meaning, he can't handle his liquor!!! It's been reported that he had a little too much of a good time celebrating his 36th birthday last week. The other night, Dupri and his squeeze, Janet Jackson, went to Tenjune, where, spies say, they shared bottles of Jay-Z's Ace of Spades Champagne and Patrón tequila with Ne-Yo, Busta Rhymes and Ice-T - until Dupri "vomited in Janet's lap. Ms. Jackson bolted out of the scene and sped off in her chauffeured Maybach." A rep for Jackson and Dupri didn't return calls. A rep for Tenjune declined to comment. Meanwhile, we hear Dupri is under some stress at work. The head of urban music for Island/Def Jam put out his lady's last album, "Discipline," which flopped. Our insider said, "[IDJ head] L.A. Reid had wanted to make changes to the album, make it fresher with some newer artists added in, but Janet said no - and Jermaine backed her up. He looks silly right now."

Janet Jackson Leaves Island Def Jam

Janet Jackson cut ties with Island Def Jam Music Group and is officially a free agent, super producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins tells Rap-Up.

“We didn’t get the support from the record company,” Darkchild discloses. “[Janet] felt like it wasn’t pushed. I felt like it wasn’t pushed correctly. She just didn’t get her just dues as an artist of that magnitude.”

Darkchild also shared that he’ll probably be involved in Janet’s next record: “I could make an album with her, possibly me, Jimmy Jam, and Terry Lewis. Keep it real simple. They focus on what they’re great at, I focus on what I’m great at. We come together and make a classic Janet record.”

Janet Jackson's Rock With You Tour

This is Janet's first tour in seven years and it features a set list that was directly influenced by her fans. (The singer set up a phone line to take song requests in advance.) As a result, Wednesday night’s Vancouver kick-off covered nearly three decades of music, ranging from tracks recorded in her mid-teens (”Say You Do,” “Don’t Stand Another Chance”) to audience faves (”Escapade,” “Rhythm Nation”) to her newest singles (”Rock With U,” “LUV”).

As far as theatrics, Jackson brought her usual bag of tricks: Being overcome by (possibly real) tears during a burst of fan-thusiasm? Check. Picking a guy out of the audience to incorporate into her sadomasochistic number? Double check. She got out a bondage swing and some floggers for her latest disc’s title track, “Discipline.”

The stage featured layers of interwoven steel with a huge U-shaped extension allowing Janet to strut nearly halfway across the stadium floor. Costume changes brought the glam — ranging from a skin-tight gold lamé bodysuit (during opening track “The Pleasure Principle”) to a Hollywood-esque flowing red gown for the slow jams — but it did seem clear that Jackson, along with her nine dancers and minimalist band, put together a show that was less extravagant in terms of outfits and stage props, attempting instead to bring the bang with pyro and mini-explosions.

Three large screens offered close-up shots throughout the two hour and 20 minute set, as well as pre-recorded footage allowing “duets” with Nelly (”Call On Me”) and Dave Navarro (”Black Cat”). The show’s sole bizarre element was the inclusion of nearly nonsensical video vignettes designed to create a space-age good vs. evil battle: the “evil” Jackson sonically emulating Gollum from Lord of the Rings while the “good” Janet appeared in a white haze, eerily resembling the sunshine from the Teletubbies. While the onscreen Janets were confounding, the real-live Jackson was assured as she powered through the tightly choreographed 37-song set. She may have sang along to backing tracks, but she didn’t lip-synch.

Jackson Five Honored At BMI Awards

Most of the Jackson clan was on hand last night for the BMI Awards last night in Cali at the Wilshire Theatre in Beverly Hills. Most excluding Mr. Secret Hiding Place himself Michael. Even La'Toya was there! Oh yeah Jermaine wasn't there either... but who cares.

The family received the BMI Icon Award. Asked of Michael's whereabouts, Marlon cracked: "I think he's in Egypt riding a camel or something. Baby sister Janet was in attendance to help honor her big bros for all of their work and influence in the industry. The Jacksons were honored for their “unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers.”

But what's even crazier is the fact that these boys are back living with mama Catherine and I hear even Marlon is working in a grocery store as a "stocker"... WTF?

Female Celebs Design For A Cause

Jada Pinkett-Smith, Janet Jackson, Eva Longoria, and Joy Bryant and many other female celebs teamed up with shoe designer Stuart Weitzman to raise money for ovarian cancer research. Each star was given a plain white satin pump and asked to come up with their own design. “We were amazed — no one turned us down,” Stuart Weitzman told In Touch at the re-opening of his recently remodeled flagship store in New York. “It is cool to see how people’s personalities and tastes come out,” newlywed Joy Bryant, who created a graffiti-inspired heel, told In Touch. “Everyone is so different.” All of the shoes will be auctioned off throughout the month of September and 100% of the proceeds go to benefit cancer research. Janet Jackson Launches Lingirie

Janet Jackson can now add the title of "designer" to her list of qualifications. On Friday, Janet Jackson announced her partnership with Australian fashion designer Bruno Schiavi.

On the eve of her world tour in support of her recent “Discipline” album, Jackson has added designer to her impressive list of talents with the launch of Pleasure Principle. The line will be Jackson and Schiavi’s first domestic lingerie collection with plans to have product in stores as early as November 2008 across America, with Australia, Japan and Europe to follow.

“The collection has been carefully created with some of the finest laces from around the world. You will see a lot of satin and lace combined and rich colors such as burgundy and beige, silver and peach as well as your classic black and white,” Jackson reveals. ”It makes you feel incredible and offers variety as diverse as the women who will wear it.” Jackson’s 1987 hit song, (and one of my favs I might add) “Pleasure Principle,” was the inspiration for the brand name. Described by the industry as an independent woman’s anthem about love – Pleasure Principle seems a fitting link from Janet’s musical emancipation 21 years ago to her expansion into a fashion designer for modern women.

“Janet and I wanted to create a collection that empowers women and that makes women feel sexy, flirtatious and provocative,” Schiavi said. The first collection of Pleasure Principle offers 14 designs across a combination of bra styles from balconettes, demi cups to full coverage. Sizes will range from 32A to 44G. But I wonder how much they'll cost?
