Purse Obsession~ Chloe Paddington Leather Padlock Satchel

There are already a lot of Paddington Leather Padlock Satchels from Chloe, and this particular one is perhaps the most striking and the most appropriate for the summer use because of its beautiful shade of heather grey... which is also a great winter color. The turquoise is the most appropriate summer shade of them all. This style of Chloe purse is definitely very exceptional and stylish even from day to night time use.

This satchel is made from marbled leather in a really light and striking blue shade. Just like any other Paddington bags, this also has the signature logo-embossed padlock with a shiny key that dangles from one of the handles. These brass pieces, including some studs and attachments, complement well with the overall shade of the bag.

It somewhat displays an understated luxe, making this bag the perfect extra to accompany your relaxed vacation ensemble. This bag has front and back exterior slip pockets, and opening the top break-away zip closure would show slip and zipped pockets on the inside. These pockets add more storage to the bag’s 14½ x 7½ x 7½ inches measurement.

If You Don't A Broke Dude... What Does That Say About You?

Here is an article that was in the recent issue of EbonyJet magazine. This one hit home because, I'll admit, I've found myself in this predicament more than I really care to admit.

Do you seem to be constantly getting into relationship with guys who are broke? Ebony-Jet advice columnist Nechya says it’s most likely not coincidence — you probably keep getting in with broke dudes because, deep down, you’re a needy person, and someone living off you has no choice but to give you plenty of attention. I know that you guys have heard people say that you get what you put out into the universe right? Well if you're exuding these feelings of neediness, then that's what you'll get in return. Check it out.

Ladies, would you:

  • 1)Enter into a serious relationship with a man who makes substantially less than you?
  • 2)Live with a man who expects you to pay the rent?
  • 3)Lend a substantial amount of money to a boyfriend who has an idea for a business but is short on cash?
  • 4)Make an exception for an artist or creative type who is always broke?
  • How many of you constantly find yourself with the same type of guy and wonder why? Sounds like some of us “independent” women aren’t as self sufficient as we may think we are, doesn’t it? If any of the above sounds like something you’ve done, are doing, or will do, perhaps you have some issues to work out if you want to break the mold and enter into an equally yoked relationship. Just food for thought!

    Lil Kim Goin Hardcore

Lil Kim says she, like 50 Cent, plans to return to a hardcore rapping style (whatever the hell that means).

Kim says her new album is coming and fans can expect her to be coming hard. Although there is no release date, Lil Kim did say she thinks that her new LP will be out this year.

“The album should be out in a few months,” Kim said in an interview at the pre-BET Awards show last weekend. "We don’t have a set date yet but the song ‘Download’ is featuring T-Pain and Charlie Wilson is doing very well and I’m excited about that ’cause it’s been a long time since I made my rounds. But I got another song that’s with a producer named Detail, he’s a Konvict Music producer and I love this song. I can’t tell y’all the name yet ’cause it might be the next single but just know that this album, I’m feeling real sexy and nasty y’all, so it’s gonna be an upgrade of Hardcore.”

Ok... so it sounds like she's going back to her roots if anything. If you heard her in Junior Mafia and her first album "Hard Core" which came out in 1996. I actually loved that album, it brings back memories of when I was back in Florida. Anyways, I highly doubt that I'll be coppin this next on though... I might download that mug but she'll never get my money again!

    Michael Jackson Funeral Arrangements

Funeral plans for Michael Jackson have finally been set. The memorial service for Michael will take place at the Staples Center on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. 11,000 tickets will be distributed free of charge to the general public. Some reports also say that a carnival-like procession will happen after the services as Michael body is transported elsewhere for the family’s private funeral services.

In other news, Mike’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe has stated through her awyer that she will indeed petition for custody of her and Michael’s children. She dd an interview with L.A.’s local NBC network yesterday and said she was willing to submit to any testing, including DNA, to prove she was the biological mother of Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11. Rowe also said she was concerned about splitting up the three children, and would be willing to accept custody of Prince Michael II, Jackson’s youngest child. Michael’s mother, Katherine, has been granted custody as Michael expressly willed his kids to her.

It Must Be Love... Keyshia Cole Gets a "LOVE"ly Tattoo

Hmmm... I've always said it, and I'll reiterate it... IT IS THE DUMBEST IDEA IN THE WORLD TO GET SOME MAN/WOMAN (other than a parent/grandparent) TATTOOED ON YOUR BODY!!!

I see our favorite ghetto songbird Keyshia Cole doesn't care about the fact that her and her NBA baller "boyfriend"... NOT HUSBAND... but BOYFRIEND, have only been dating a few months before she went and got this tattoo.

You can clearly see the "Truly Blessed" portion... and I'm just really hoping that next to that "D" it doesn't say Gibson. Keyshia's Mr. Right Now's name is Daniel Gibson by the way. So... if we put the tattoo together it says "Truly Blessed... D. Gibson". I so don't want to believe that the rest of that says D. Gibson, but the proof is in the shoulder ink folks! For logics sake, I'm hoping that it's just henna and not a real tat.

    R. Kelly Being Investigated... AGAIN!

    R. Kelly is back being a "Chester". Why didn't they lock his punk ass up the first damn time? AND WHEN IS SOMEBODY GOING TO TELL THIS DUDE THAT HE'S TOO DAMN OLD TO STILL BE ROCKIN BRAIDS!!!!

    GOOD GRIEF!!!

Anyways, A representative for R. Kelly released the following statement in response to a report about a supposed police search of his house in Chicago:

"A wildly exaggerated and inaccurate report has been circulating on the Internet that Olympia Fields police showed up at R. Kelly’s house with a search warrant just before the singer left for his three-week concert tour in Africa last month and then searched the place looking for a missing 17-year-old girl."

"This is completely false. No police ever showed up at Kelly’s house with a search warrant nor was his house ever searched. It is also not true, as the unsubstantiated report claimed, that any such girl ever stayed overnight in Kelly’s house or that she had been there but left shortly before some mythical police search."

Kelly’s attorneys will cooperate fully with any investigation... so they say. I'mma really need the justice system to wake up on this dude!

Fabolous Video Shoot For "Everyday, Everything, Everywhere"

All week long Fabolous has been tweeting about his video shoot for the next single "Everyday, Everything, Everywhere" which is on his 5th studio album 'Loso's Way'. The video was shot last week while Fab was out in LA for the BET Awards. As you can see from the pics, Fab has a slew of guests on the set including, Amerie, Trey Songz, Tamala Jones, and Ryan Leslie... and I'm assuming Keri Hilson must be singing the hook.

Trey Songz is so cute now that he's cute those braids off

The next Buffy the Body in the making? *sigh*... C'mon ladies... can we stop with the ass injections now? I mean... this -ish here is ridonkulous!

Loso’s Way the album and movie drops July 28th

LL Cool J To Star in NCIS Spinoff

I think it's pretty safe to say that NCIS will never beat CSI, but it may stand one hell of a chance with the creation of the spinoff "NCIS: Los Angeles".

The show is a drama about the high stakes world of undercover surveillance at the Office of Special Projects (OSP), a division of NCIS that is charged with apprehending dangerous and elusive criminals that pose a threat to the nation's security. By assuming false identities and utilizing the most advanced technology, this team of highly trained agents goes deep undercover on "NCIS: Los Angeles," putting their lives on the line in the field to bring down their targets. On "NCIS: Los Angeles," Special Agent "G" Callen (Chris O'Donnell) is a chameleon who transforms himself into whomever he needs to be to infiltrate the criminal underworld. His partner and the yummiest part of it all is Special Agent Sam Hanna played by legendary rapper LL Cool J.

Yes... I admit that LL is the reason why I will be a new viewer of the series. I love LL, and I think he has so much potential to be a really great actor. Only time will tell if he's meant for more small screen roles, or if he should concentrate on the big screen.

    Asher Roth Had Food Poisoning

We always hear about how all the celebs are caught out eating at the famous Nobu restaurants around the country and abroad... well, rapper and longtime college student Asher Roth says he won't let a nasty little bout with food poisoning from the restaurant deter him from going back.

The Morrisville, PA rapper canceled an MTV appearance when, Roth says, he became sick from raw red snapper, but adds wild horses couldn’t keep him from the high-end sushi joint. “I’d absolutely go back,” he said at SoBe’s Summer Friday party. “Their stuff is the best.”

    Rihanna To Face Tattoo Penalties

Seems Rihanna thought that it would be just nifty to give someone, or two, or three a tattoo of her infamous umbrellas in NYC last night. Unfortunately... the fun was also illegal.

Rihanna herself, picked up a tattoo needle last night at a parlor in NYC. We're told RiRi tattooed three of East Side Ink's artists with umbrellas and the letter R. None of her pet projects cared that she didn't have a license, but you better believe that the New York City Law Department did. They say Rihanna could be slapped with three misdemeanors for the offense, each with its own hefty penalty, which could be as much as $300 for the first offense, $500 for the second and $1,000 for the third.

Sources say the tattoo shop could also face considerable fines of its own if the NYC Law Dept. decides to open an investigation.

UPDATE: The NYC Health Department just told TMZ: "Only licensed tattoo artists can administer tattoos in the city according to the City's Health Code and they also plan to investigate the incident. All I wanna know is... who the hell snitched? I mean really... I know the NYC Health Dept wasn't there... so somebody went and ran their mouth!

    Gay Rap Website

We all remember the buzz a year or so back when Industry Insider Terrence Dean published his book, "Hiding In Hip Hop" which talked about the many manly rappers in the game that were actually on the DL.

Now, there is a website that caters strictly to the gay rap community. Rap Gaydar, features categories such as "Ayo Lyricism," which calls out lyrics that may suggest some same sex lovin', "The Down Low" and "Pretty Pictures," and a tagline that reads:

"We're here, we're queer, we're kicking flava in ya ear."

Rap Gaydar calls out the recently shut down Vibe mag, and says that the Urban magazine was the first of it's kind to be considered an "openly gay hip hop mag". *side eye...HARD*. The website is also shares a similar name to the former Editor-in-Chief of XXL mag, Elliott Wilson's website Rap Radar.

    The Game As B.A. Baracus?

Word is, casting for a big screen adaptation on the long running TV series, "The A-Team," has begun. There's few interesting celebrities are in the running.

Guess who's one of the front-runners for one of the A-Team's most popular characters? Rapper The Game is reportly being considered for the role of B.A Baracus, originally played by Mr. T on the television show, reports BlackFilm.com.

Chicago rapper Common, according to online talk, was supposedly on deck for the role, but may have scheduling conflicts after landing a role opposite Queen Latifah in "Just Right.". Ice Cube and UFC fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson were also in the running for the role. Frankly, I think Cube would be the perfect fit.

    Dumb Ass of the Day!

SUFFOLK - He left his photo.

Now police have a name to go with it. A 17-year-old Suffolk resident has been identified by police as the suspect in a recent burglary in which the perpetrator took a self-portrait with his victim's cell phone camera and left it behind.

Because of his age, the juvenile's name is not being released to the media. Debbie George, spokeswoman for the city of Suffolk, said detectives have interviewed the teen and will secure petitions charging him with a felony burglary count and a larceny count that could be a felony or a misdemeanor.

The burglary happened in early June at a residence on Holbrook Arch. Detectives believe the burglar attempted to make a phone call using the home owner's cell phone but was unsuccessful, then used the camera function to take a photo of himself. The photo was circulated in the media, leading to calls from citizens that helped detectives identify the suspect.

BET Premiere of Tiny & Toya

First let me say, Tiny’s house is gorgeous and her mother is such a nice, supportive woman. This helped me like her a little bit more. But that damn Toya needs to be shaken. She whined and complained about not being able to find a good man the entirrrrrrre episode. Girl welcome to the “I’m Young, Black, and Single Club”, 16 million members and counting.

Let The Rumors Fly: Usher Not The Father of 2nd Child?

As the world turns... I swear that's what this feels like. A new twist in the Usher and Tameka divorce sith. Seems Usher wants to test the paternity of his youngest son Naviyd. Ok... so I know he's not that damn dumb to let it go on this long if he's had doubts... but... that could have very well been the straw that broke the camels back for Ush. This mess is running neck and neck with Nas and Kelis' ridiculously messy divorce.

According to Enquirer (if you believe anything they write), Usher is hoping to tip the divorce scales in his favor by questioning the paternity of his 6 month old son Naviyd:

“The first thing Usher said was, ‘How did that happen?’ — because he was gone a lot, and their sex life was very, very limited,” a friend of the star reveals. “He’s determined to get truthful answers.”

When Naviyd was born last December, Usher and Tameka, 38, were already separated. The “Confessions” star became concerned that Tameka had been unfaithful to him after friends confessed that the former celebrity stylist had “got with another man” in the early stages of her rough patch with Usher.

It is a claim Tameka vehemently denies. In fact, the soon-to-be two-time divorcee insists her younger hubby is the father of her infant son and she’s ready to take the star to the cleaners for even suggesting otherwise.

“She says that although they weren’t spending that much time together, they did get together for one night of passion. And that’s when she got pregnant,” the snitch whispers, adding that Tameka is “going to fight for what she thinks she should have.”

Tameka also claims in a recent court filing that despite what the reports have been saying, she and Usher have not been separated since July 2008 as Usher claims, in fact, they were “intimately together” less than a week before he started divorce proceedings, which is where the whole SURPRISE factor comes into play!

Supposedly, there is at least $80 mil at stake here and you best believe that Tameka wants 'haf... I want haf Eddie'... some of you are too young to get that!

Porn King Buys A Spot Onto Ugly Betty Set

Well gee... if all it takes is a mere $18,000 to be able to get a guest appearance on ABC's hit show "Ugly Betty", then... I guess I can hang up all those dreams and aspirations huh?

I know this, Wilhelmina (Vanessa Williams) better watch her back because of the king of porn is about to make a BIG scene!

Porn mogul Michael Lucas has a walk-on role in an upcoming episode of popular show "Ugly Betty", which he won through a charity auction held by the Stonewall Community Foundation.

Says Lucas, "I paid $18,000.00 for the opportunity, and this is a chance for adult stars to step out of their box. My appearance will also show American audiences that there is no reason a porn star can’t appear on national television."

Oh my... I'm just worried about all the other aspiring porn stars who long to do real movies and shows that actually have GOOD scripts that actually make sense!

Kelly Rowland Attributes Tina Knowles For Helping Her Love Herself

Singer Kelly Rowland spoke with Britain's HEAT magazine recently, and during her interview, she revealed that she learned to love herself with help from none other than Tina Knowles.

Kelly also told HEAT that she struggled with issues of self acceptance and low self-esteem. The former DC (Destinys Child) singer, now solo artist, says her troubles began as a child when she found herself wishing for a lighter complexion as the only African American girl in her class.

"There's so much peer pressure, growing up I had an identity crisis - I went to a school that was predominantly white and I was the only black girl," Rowland said. "I remember thinking, 'I don't want to be as dark as I am, I want to be a little fairer. I didn't want to be me."

Rowland says that it was Tina Knowles, who is Beyonce's mother and also was Kelly's guardian for many years, who helped her work out her issues. She says that Tina helped her to realize her beauty and uncover her hidden confidence.

"She sat me in front of the mirror and said, 'Girl, look at how pretty you are.' She made me feel comfortable in my own skin."

Although she got her start from Knowles, Rowland says she really didn't realize her full potential until adulthood.

"When I got older, I embraced who I am as a woman. I look in the mirror and I'm like, 'I like Kelly. Kelly's not so bad.' I think that it's important to instill that in our girls, to know that they posses something special and that everybody's not supposed to be the same."

    Michael Jackson Fans Committing Suicide

I am totally empathetic to all of the millions of fans that are feeling the loss of Michael Jackson. But... those those hardcore fans that feel that Mike is the end all be all of legends past, present, and to come, I'm not with you.

Don't get me wrong, I love Micheal just as much as the rest of the world does, but I'm not willing to end my life just because he no longer breathes the same air that I do. No SUH! Well... a dozen hardcore Michael Jackson fans have committed suicide following the news of the pop icon's death, says various media outlets.

Michael Jackson passed away late last week from cardiac arrest sending millions of fans all over the world into mourning. In deed Michael Jackson's death from cardiac arrest last week has moved fans all over the world into action, nearly shutting down the internet and sparking the creation of numerous tributes and memorials, thus proving yet again how Mike's presence whether tangible or fantasy, is all too powerful.

Humbling honors and tributes aside, some fans have been going too far and taking their own lives, says Gary Taylor, president and owner of an online Michael Jackson fan club.

"I know there has been an increase (in deaths), I now believe the figure is 12. It is a serious situation that these people are going through but Michael Jackson would never want this. He would want them to live," Taylor says. "They (fans) can't accept it; they feel in some sort of different reality. I'm stunned that he's dead. One minute he is coming here for concerts and the next he is gone. I think the funeral will be where the reality kicks in that he is gone and won't be coming back, there will be a huge depression in the fan community when that happens."

Cementing the seriousness of the situation, Jackson's longtime friend Rev. Jesse Jackson also spoke on the tragedy and urged fans not to "self-destruct."

"This is a time when hearts are heavy," Jackson said. "There is great pain but great cause to celebrate Michael's life. It made Michael happy saying We Are The World. Don't self-destruct. We fall down sometimes, we get back up. That's the right thing to do. In Michael's name let's live together as brothers and sisters and not die apart as fools."

Some Of The Real Truths Behind The Change Up On The BET Awards

Like many, I sat there at 5am Monday morning UK time wondering why the hell I'd just wasted almost 4 hours of my life watching the BET Awards 2009 and it's half-a**ed 'tribute' to the undisputed King of Pop - something only Janet's appearance helped put into perspective. Many questions swirled in my head: Where was the much hyped Chris Brown performance? The whereabouts of Usher, Justin, Whitney - all who were as good as confirmed for the show? Why did Beyonce - the biggest artist in the industry today and a huge MJ fan - perform her own cut 'Ave Maria'? All these and many more, left me hella perplexed. Well now Matthew Cherry - a former producer of the now-ended show 'The Game' and head of Cherry Entertainment - has come forth with behind the scenes info on the show and the last minute change-arounds that resulted in the product we saw on Sunday night. A lengthy, yet very interesting read I must say:
What's going on world. I haven't really blogged much since getting this account, save for putting my video work up, but after last nights BET Awards I had to say something. So many thoughts ran threw my mind last night after I watched the awards and here they are.

I did not work the BET Awards. I was there with the DP that I worked with on Girlfriends and I was there observing the show rehearsals from the control room. As you all know I go hard on twitter and the reason for a lot of my excitement was due to what I saw in rehearsal. I was one of the few people that saw the rehearsals prior to the show airing and for some reason or another a lot changed from what was originally supposed to air.

Here is what changed. Alica Keys and Wyclef were supposed to sing "Heal The World" after they accepted their humanitarian award. Beyonce was first going to sing Smooth Criminal then they changed it to I'll Be There/Halo and then she sang something from her own album the day of the show "Ava Marie". T-pain rehearsed signing "Rock With You" and that was on show rundown as well. I'm kinda glad he didn't sing that though. Then on top of all of this, of course there was the Chris Brown drama. As of Friday Chris Brown was slated to perform and he was going to sing "Man In The Mirror". I've heard a lot of rumors as to why he didn't the most talked about one being that Jay-z had him pulled from the show. Not sure if that's true but I will say this. Beyonce, Jay-Z, Al Sharpton, Joe Jackson and some of the Jackson family all sat in the front row in the same row. Jay-Z and Al Sharpton have said publicly that they do not support Chris in this situation and that they sided with Rihanna. Entertainment is way more political than a lot of you may know and the mere fact that he did not perform caused such a big distraction could you imagine what may have happened if he did. This night should have been all about MJ.

With that said I would have tweeted during the show but my phone died and all I left you with was feelings of excitement about the show. I am a director but first and foremost I am a fan of a lot of these artists and I was sitting in the crowd enjoying great music like everyone else. If my phone didn't die trust me my messages would have been a lot different.

First off I love Jamie Foxx and I think he is an amazing talent. With that said I do feel that he promoted his concerts too much and him and Neyo performed way too many times. There are too many talented performers in the industry to have them sing three or four songs each. You can tell they didn't have much time to rehearse as he constantly asked if the feed was on and he walked off stage numerous times when he was supposed to be on stage. That's more of a timing thing and with two days to get ready I'll give them a pass.

In regards to the performances. I loved the old school soul music tributes with Guy, Keith Sweat and New Edition. I loved Beyonce, Jay-z, Maxwell, The Young Ojay's and the new Ojays. I thought Tevin Campbell was random as hell and I have no idea why he performed. I think that was supposed to be Chris Brown's spot because on the production schedule it just had special guest named in that segment.

Here is what I hated about the awards. In regards to the lack of the presenters announcing the nominees at the time I thought was warranted but looking back it seemed rushed and awkward. I hated Don Cornelius being anywhere near a mic and I also found it odd that so many people swore when they knew the show was live. The Baby Boy skit was in bad taste and Ving Rhames...I mean what the hell was he doing. There were way more MJ tributes and cover scheduled that for one reason or another just didn't happen. There was no news about The Game as much as they re-run the episodes and with them possibly acquiring the show I would have thought the cast would have at least presented an award. Why the hell did Young Money bring out all those kids when they where singing about fucking every girl in the world? Jamie went to the top of the balcony and did a segment with the fans everyone seemed so ghetto. Everyone was mugging for the camera, holding up CD's and calling their boys, SMH These were the times during the show that I actually covered my face in embarrassment.

There were some positives. I love that BET honored people that weren't entertainers and celebrities doctors, mayors, lawyers etc. Our young people need to know that you don't have to be a rapper and an actor to be successful. A man proposed to his girlfriend during one of the commercial break, I wonder if it aired? Jamie Foxx was funny as a host and his MJ outfits were on point. Janet Jackson at the end. She was so strong for doing that. That alone made the show worth it.

All in all I am still a huge fan of awards shows, I mean, where else can you see 20 different performances in one night. I feel like BET tried to do too much and maybe they should have either dedicated an entire segment to Mike or did an entire show all about him. I definitely jumped the gun with my excitement for the show but if you would have saw what I saw then you would have said the same things I did. I so also think that it's a different experience seeing something live rather than on TV but it is what it is. I truly hope that BET steps there game up next time and they learn from this experience.

    Thanks for reading

While I don't agree with everything Mac said, such as the night should have been ALL ABOUT MICHAEL- yet he still had some valid points. Chris Brown should have performed regardless. If he would have killed somebody... of course it would have been understandable to leave him out of the equation of the night. But the boy did something that has been done by countless celebs and average Joes alike. He made a mistake. I can guarantee that everyone would have forgotten about that if he got on that stage... at least temporarily!

Sneak of da Week~ Supra Skytop ‘Moonwalker’ Heat Sensitive Customs

Not since the election of President Barack Obama have we seen so many new items on the shelves paying tribute to icons of today and yesterday. With the passing of 'The King of Pop', there have been a hailstorm of merchandise being sent into production for consumer consumption. I'm bringing you the opportunity to get your hands on an awesome piece to add to your sneak collection: Qustom Queen Moonwalker Supra Skytop Sneakers.

Originally, the sneak was created as an honor to the legendary singer, and now with his passing, it will serve as a tribute and collectors item for those who loved Mike. It's a bit surreal that this sneak was made before the passing of MJ.

Qustom Queen designed the Supra Skytop ‘Moonwalker’ customs with a colorway similar to the Moonwalker movie poster. As you can see, silver was added on the heel panels of the sneakers to represent the Mike changing into a car, then later to a robot in the 1988 Moonwalker movie. The black panels which were done up next have a very subtle galaxy theme going on, one so subtle that it may even be a little hard to notice at first. The side of the upper and across the tongue theres a rainbow design which was done with heat sensitive paints. The heat sensitive paint makes the rainbow design change colors, getting more brighter once the sneakers/paint heats up. The lace covers display a portrait of MJ’s face and is also done in heat sensitive paints. When the paint heats up Jackson’s face changes and becomes lighter. As Qustom Queen puts it “they go from Thriller MJ to Moonwalker MJ."
