Hughley had his moment to do something great, but instead turned the show into a menstrual show with preposterous racial undertones. Anyways...
On the heels of making national headlines for his interview with newly minted Republican National Committee Chairman,Michael Steele, D.L. Hughley has decided (we know CNN pulled the plug on this joint) to end his own CNN series, 'D.L. Hughley Breaks the News.'
In a statement released by CNN, the network announced that the 'King of Comedy' will transition to a different position within the company.
"D.L. approached CNN about being permanently based in Los Angeles , where his family lives. To accommodate this, we agreed upon a new role where he will be a contributor for the network based in Los Angeles . We are eager to continue our relationship with D.L., who is a tremendous talent and a valued colleague,"the statement read.
The 45-year-old Hughley, who is also a weekly contributor to the nationally syndicated 'Tom Joyner Morning Show,' has not released a statement of his own.
