President elect Barack Obama has appointed his friend and constituent Rep. Rahm Emanuel of Illinois, as his Chief of Staff on today. The 48-year-old congressman -- a hard-nosed veteran of the Clinton White House who has the nickname "Rahm-bo" -- has three children, son Zacharias and daughters Ilana and Leah, with his wife Amy.
Rahm has a younger brother who is also somewhat famous. His younger brother Ari Emanuel is a talent agent in Hollywood, and if you watch HBO's hit series Entourage, then you'll know what I'm about to say. The "agent" on the show, played by actor Jeremy Piven, whose name on the show is "Ari" was inspired by the real Ari. In fact, Rahm himself was also the inspiration for another television character- namely Bradley Whitford's character Josh Lyman on the NBC series "The West Wing."
