Guess What This Guy Told His Students The Word CHANGE Stood For?

This dude is a 7th-Grade teacher in Floriday. On Sept 26, he decided that he wanted to talk politics with his young students. And how did he begin his lecture for that day? By writing the campaign slogan for the Democratic Presidential candidate of C.H.A.N.G.E. on the dry-erase board as an acronym. Seems harmless enough right?

Not this time.

Angry parents in the northwest Florida community of Marianna began calling and coming up to Marianna Middle school in protest to get this man fired. For what you might ask. Well... because when he explained to the children what the word "CHANGE" stood for, this is what he said:
Come Help A N*gger Get Elected!

The Marianna Middle School teacher, Greg Howard, is now serving only a 10-day suspension after writing that disgusting acronym on the board in front of these young and impressionable children. Naturally, many parents want the 17-year teacher fired. The seventh-grade social studies teacher’s class has 17 White students, six Black students and one Asian student.

When the incident first occured, Howard was only suspended for that day and without pay, but that was elevated to the 10-day punishment. He must also write a letter of apology to students. “We feel like the punishment is sufficient,” Larry Moore, superintendent of the Jackson County School District, told The Detroit Free Press. “We did not feel he had to be fired.” NAACP officials say they will reserve their actions in the case until their investigation is complete. Audrey Wad, who has nieces and nephews at the school, didn’t need any more information before expressing her outrage. “To me, it’s hurtful,” she told the Free Press. “The idea that he would impose his political opinion on the children is wrong to me. That’s where he crossed the line.”

I agree. Someone in a position such as his knows better. Whether you like Barack Obama or not, you keep that opinion to yourself when you're teaching. Let the students express how they feel, but you stay out of it. There is no place for attitudes such as his in our schools in charge of teaching our children how to begin to construct their adult lives. No SUH!!! His ass needs to be bounced right out the front door!!! Square biz!
