What Ever Happened To...
If you grew up in middle school or high school in the early 90's then you'll remember Ahmad Ali Lewis. He had the 94 hit song "Back In The Day" and really didn't bring out anything else worth mentioning. But something good came from Ahmad. Now 32 years old, graduated from Long Beach City College as the valedictorian and has since gone on to Stanford University with the help from a scholarship from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. Ahmad is a junior at Stanford University studying social welfare.
In Touch mag interviewed Ahmad, he spoke candidly about the importance of following your dreams, and how the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation — which was established in 2000 and focuses on sending high-achieving, low-income students to middle school through graduate school — helped him to strive for a higher education.
