50 Cent Wants To See His Son

I guess we all have a soft spot for our kids... which is understandable. But when you're a -ish talkin rapper who seems to not give a damn about anyone or anything else, it seems a bit of a hard pill to swallow. 50 Cent, who has recently been all up and through damn near every media outlet out there, tells MTV that since his custody battle and drama issues with his ex Shaniqua Tompkins, he hasn't been able to talk to or see his son like he wants to.

Tompkins filed a restraining order on 50 last month, just weeks after the blaze that burned down the home where she and her son were living. The order binds 50 from being on the same premises as Tompkins, which in turn, hurts him being able to see his son.

He told MTV.com: “I think he doesn’t want his mom to feel like he’s a traitor. The time I spent away is the time he developed this thing he’s afraid to break with her. There’s nothing you can do about that. This is the toughest thing I’ve had to face, because he’s my motivation.”And the hip-hop superstar is sad his son won’t be joining him on tour this summer (08) because of the custody situation: “In the summertime, for the first two years I was successful, my son has travelled with us on those tours. He was on the Rock the Mic Tour; he was on the Anger Management Tour. This summer, when he’s free, it’s, like, no communication. It’s tough.“I’m not going through a custody battle; just a transition. I’d like to be able to just see my baby.”

WOW... it's a bit saddening when you hear it all. Especially to hear a man talk about how he misses his child. Or is the selfishness of 50 showing once again. I mean, he did say that he's going to miss him being on tour with them. Does he secretly mean that just maybe not having little Marquise on the tour could bring him bad luck??? Just speculation folks!!!
