Atlanta native, Ludacris, real name Chris Bridges, is one among several others, to join the ranks of being one of the inductees in the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. Also being inducted with Ludacris are, Widespread Panic, deejay Hamp Sawin, guitar makers Fred and Dina Gretsch, R&B singer/radio personality Keith Sweat, and late Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Dottie Rambo.
The awards is in its 30th year, an will be held September 20, according to AccessAtlanta.com. The show will be hosted by news anchorwoman Monica Pearson and Leslie Fram. Ludacris joins an extremely prestigious group in the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, including artists and music industry heads such as Ray Charles, Little RIchard, Isaac Hayes, Antonio "L.A." Reid, TLC, Dallas Austin, Usher, R.E.M. and many more.
The awards show will broadcast live at 8:30 PM on GPB-TV Channel 8. Tickets range from $75 to $100, and are available by calling the Friends of Georgia Music Festival, Inc. at 770-491-9494 ext 15.
