Are DMX's Arrests A Publicity Stunt Gone Wrong?

On Thursday (July 24), rapper DMX pleaded not guilty to two felony theft charges in a Phoenix courtroom. But after the court session was over and the press were hounding for comments, X broke out in a freestyle rap; "If and when you ever fall down/ Get back up," he rapped outside the courtroom, when asked for a comment following the hearing, according to a Reuters report. "Drop something/ Stop fretting/ Pick that ... back up/ Stand for something or fall for everything/ Wait for the right pitch or miss with every swing."

After his lil shinanigans, His lawyer, Charles Kozelka, then pulled him away as DMX urged reporters to look for his next album. He has a hip-hop album, "Walk With Me Now," slated for release Oct. 14 and a gospel album, "You'll Fly With Me Later," in the works.

So my question now would be, is this a horribly orchestrated publicity stunt that has gone wrong. We have seen too many here recently that damn near serve no purpose. I'm trying to come up with some sort of excuse for X's behavior because the amount of arrests are ridiculous.
