As a PROUD member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated...we do applaud and congratulate Michelle Obama as well as our sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc for this great choice.

To the young/old woman, interested in AKA, remember you are NOT yet a member of OUR Great Greek Family.

OO-WEE!

Congratulations to Michelle Obama... Just makes you wonder why she did not pledge in college... Was she also one of the many ladies that would have been outstanding members of these fine organizations, only to be found unworthy by smallminded, narrowthinking undergrad members? I am sure many ladies who have gone on to make tremendous impact in this world were not inducted under such circumstances! Congrats to AKA for making this star a part of their universe!

As to why Michelle Obama did not pledge in college - She has stated that they did not have Black sororities on her undergraduate school. Sorry too that she went the wrong way! What a coup for AKA! We (Deltas) are NOT accustomed to being bested ;o)
