Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes Film To Be Released In November

Just like that... two legendary forces in the black community are gone, and leave in their wake a host of grieving family, friends, and fans. All of this left behind, but they do leave of with great memories and laughs. But also, the cast of the upcoming Malcolm D. Lee movie "Soul Men" has been reduced by two. Set to be released in November, "Soul Men" stars Samuel L. Jackson, Bernie Mac, Sean Hayes, Sharon Leal, Jennifer Coolidge, Isaac Hayes, Affion Crockett, John Legend, Adam Herschman, Fatso Fasano, and Jackie Long.

Ironically, 'Soul Men' is about two former backup soul singers Louis (Samuel L. Jackson) and Floyd (Bernie Mac) who travel cross country to perform at a tribute concert in honor of their famous former band leader, played by John Legend. They haven't spoken to each other in 20 years but reluctantly agree to travel together for the tribute performance. Both Jackson and Mac will do their own musical and dance performing in the film. Isaac Hayes appears in the movie as himself.

This picture has to make Samuel Jackson a bit nervous. I would be really concerned if I'm cheesing in a promo picture with two people that passed the same weekend. I hope Sam is staying close to home and avoiding any and all risky behavior.
