Kanye West made his way to the DNC to support his candidate of choice Barack Obama. But there was one thing missing to make the moment perfect for Mr. West. That missing link was his mom Dr. Donda West. Kanye was wishing that she lived to see Barack Obama anointed as the first black presidential nominee.
"It's an incredible time to be around," the rapper told the crowd during Thursday morning's ONE campaign party in Denver, according to the Associated Press. "I wish my momma could have seen this day," he said of Donda, who passed away last November due to complications following a plastic surgery procedure.
Jamie Foxx jumped on stage and declared, "We make history, man. "If you ready for Obama, make some noise," he added, "Yo man, let's do this for Obama." And the duo then performed their tune "Gold Digger."
