Techy Talk: LightDrops

From designer Sang-Kyun Park, LightDrops, the lighted umbrella, isn't just your everyday average rain protector. As you can see, the umbrella is lit up. No, there is no light bulb or flouresent bulbs underneath. The concept of the whole thing is pretty cool actually. You see, As rain drops onto the surface of the umbrella, potential energy from said raindrops banging onto the conductive membrane called PDVF, transforms into electrical energy powering embedded LEDs, thus sending your umbrella ablaze with light. The heavier the rain, the brighter the light to help you see your way. So you can stand under my umbrella-ella-ella-a-a-a!!!!

The question is HOW MUCH do these miracle umbrellas cost? Because my $5 hot pink Target umbrella can be seen the dark, too.
