The lovely folks over at Essence Magazine have decided to give us single ladies the opportunity to look at some lusciously single men! And my #1 pick, just like any other sane woman would have to be Mr. Lamman Rucker *SIGH*... nuff said. Lamman hails from New York City speaks nationwide about the importance of HIV/AIDS awareness with BET’s Rap-It-Up Campaign. Since 1998 the organization has provided testing initiatives, speaking forums and school events reaching millions across the country.

Ovie Mughelli, 28- Atlanta Falcons Fullback. His Ovie Mughelli Foundation uses summer football camps as a platform to support nutrition, education and health initiatives. “I wanted to impress upon these kids that working hard pays off, and I wanted to make sure other kids have what I did not.”

Lance Gross, 26- Actor from Oakland, Ca. A graduate of the 2004 class at Howard University. He is also a mentor for the schools film and theater majors.

Antonio Gates, 28- San Diego Chargers Tight End. Gates has sponsored Shoot to Cure HD, an athletic event that raises funds to provide research toward a cure for Huntington’s Disease, a hereditary disorder of the central nervous system. Gates decided to take action after someone close to him was diagnosed.
