I actually love this girl! Jazmine Sullivan is not Lauryn Hill and never will be. She is who she is and that's what is so great about the Philly girl. The singers distinctive vocals can be attributed to years of singing in church as most R&B singers have.Jazmine's debut album "Fearless" hit number 6 on the billboard charts selling 65, 539 units in its first week.
Magazines and bloggers have dubbed her the "African-American answer to Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black.” I'm not sure about that comparison but she's definitely brought a new flavor to what is missing from the radio and music.
