I'm telling you, the Europeans are waaaaaaaaay out for this one right here. Apparently, they're trying to incorporate into the fashion world, pantyhose for men, aka "manty-hose". I'm at a loss for words on this one. The hose are not just for the men who wear them under their slacks but also with shorts. Who the hell wears pantyhose with shorts????
Unbelievably, there is also a damn website for the accelarated acceptance of male pantyhose. HA!!! Do these people really expect American men to embrace this idea? Are you kidding me? I wish I would find a black man wearing some damn pantyhose once he stripped down. You talk about, get yo -ish and get out my house!!! I'm just playin... sort of. But it would make me think he was just a tad bit suspect. Of course I have an open mind to everything, so, as long as I know why you're wearing them, then we're good.
I can accept a lot of things from men, but this one right here, I don't know. The marketing for this is that they want everyone to accept mens pantyhose as a regular item of clothing for men. I agree with my fellow blogger JnetteB on this one, the only place that pantyhose are acceptable on a man is during a ballet, or on stage in some sort of theater production... but not on the everyday man!

I first felt the same way girlfriend, but learned that men during the colony days were the ones wearing them, us ladies just took them as a fashion item to wear. Now I do not know if you wear pantyhose regularly, do you? But a lot of my girlfriends do not, yet I wear regularly because I like the way they compliment my leg and the feel of the higher end European Hosiery. If ladies do not want to wear them, what do they expect?
It doesn't sound like you really have an open mind to everything! Sure everyone has an opinion and is free to express their's, but men wearing pantyhose is happening more and more here in the U.S.A. Why can't men wear pantyhose in public? Not all men who wear pantyhose are to be considered gay. There are many benefits to wearing pantyhose, such as keeping your legs warm in the fall and winter, without burning up like you would with thermals! The pantyhose hold enough of your body heat, but are thin enough to not get you overheated. Also, some brands of pantyhose help with blood circulation, so your legs don't feel tired if you are on your feet for long periods of time! Please tell me what is wrong with men being able to try something different in terms of fashion as well!! Pantyhose change the look of a womens legs, why not men being able to do the same! I am a married man with two children who has been wearing pantyhose for a long time. I do wear in public at times, but also know that society as a whole does not accept change very well, so there are times when I may not wear pantyhose with shorts, or wear pantyhose if my kids friends are around, so they will not have to deal with comments that might be made by others. I do however wear shorts almost year round, being here in California, and have made some friends who also wear pantyhose. Some are gay, while others, like myself, are not. I'm sure change will come where society will be more accepting of men wearing pantyhose in public, as we are with women wearing pants and being a CEO of major Companies. Just try to keep an open mind about everything, as you stated! We are not hear to judge, there is only one who can do that, but that is a topic for another time!
I wearing tights under shorts to gym every day. I enjoy the support, feeling and looks of my tights:

That is how I felt as a man in the 1960's when they began insatalling zipper flies in women's pants. Why do women need to have pants that look like men's? There was and is no functionality for a woman to have a zipper fly in her pants, (at least I don't think there is). It made far less sense than pantyhose for men, at least there is some functionality to pantyhose.
Yes men wore tights first.
It's perplexing that women can take a mans garment, claim it for themselves, and then when men try wear it they get called gay and weird. Tights are a very practical garment, especially for circulation and varicose veins.
We men have showed tolerance to our space being invaded by women, the least you could do is the same.
Believe it or not, most women seem to be open to the idea. I have been wearing pantyhose and tights for 20 years, and have found that they are generally ok with it, and in most cases open right up to it. I have a a few Girlfriends that would buy them for me or ask that I wear them to sleep ;)
In my opinion, the ones that can't accept it are usually insecure enough about themselves that the very idea that they are with a man that wears pantyhose, causes them to question their own sexuality. When they insist they know the answer, they overcompensate, in the form of ridicule.
Oddly enough, a clothing item (except a bra) has no sexuality attached... and should not raise those questions.
There is NO rational reason that a man can not wear pantyhose. If there is, then I want my pants back, and you can wear the poofy dresses.....
I am a straight male that's married with two kids. I was voted best dressed in high school. When it comes to fashion, pantyhose and some heels that don't look too feminish add a stylish look. There's really no big deal. It's just nylon that happens to make legs look sexy, whether it's male or female. If women are crazy over a man's hairy legs and think it's sexy, then why don't women let the hair grow out on their legs?
Personally, I'm glad women don't. Hairy legs get sweaty. Most men, like myself, look like cave men with hairy beast-looking legs.
Wassup Candy Rayne and friends,
I am a straight bro from Chi-town and I dont even know how to look queer-This time though my instincts tell me that under a number of circumstances the mantyhose could be super cool and masculine. I was checking out mantyhose site and The images were awesome. I thought it was up to date Milan after a while. Probably the first black bros to do the hose style are going to be the fashion model types. I used to think spandex and lycra was butch tough guy chic stuff like or similar to a mortcycle gangs.
My thoughts

http://www.flickr.com/photos/38524175@N06/ These are decent tasteful photos of an American guy in hose and shorts.
I have been wearing hose since high school. My wife of 12 years nor any other gf have ever had an issue with it.
After being diagnosed with cancer I had to have a surgery where my lymphnodes were removed and the result was knee/ankle/foot swelling :-( My doctor recommended I wear Ted hose (brand name) or another graduated compression stocking. First was thigh lenth stockings witch kept slideing down constantly. After addressing my doctor about this she asked if I would be open to try a tights/pantyhose type. :-( not really happy about this I said I would try, at the pharmacy I was shocked to find out they cost around 100.00 us dollares a pair. Needless to say that's pretty dam expensive for someone who can no longer work. They did a great job of controlling my leg swelling but because of price they could not be a long term solution so again I adressed my doctor about the cost problem and was shocked to find out it's only because I'm male! My doctor tells me that the girl and guy versions are exactly the same but 60.00 dollares less if the box says woman on the front! So now eather I'm publicly shamed into spending 60.00 extra dollares or I can "not care" and have the products I need at a much better price. I NEVER thought a guy wearing tights/pantyhose was cool or even ok, but now it's my health at stake and I really don't think anyone has the right to judge me or my clothing and get I get angry if I see guys/girls roll thier eyes or say inappropriate things because they assume I'm a pervert or some type of crossdresser. I have to wear thies things for the rest of my life, from the time I get up, till the time I go to bed.
Your article assumes that everybody has a choice on wether to wear or not wear tights/pantyhose but I don't and I know I'm not the only one.
Also if your a reader of this article please if you see a guy in public and he's wearing tights/pantyhose please be accepting and nice because he like me may have alot bigger problems than what you think about his leg wear.
Sincerely m.b.
A pair of well-made and well-fitting pantyhose feels nice - REALLY nice - wether you're a man or woman.
Also, heavier "tights" are great for athletic activities when the temperature is always changing, like hiking in the desert at dawn (the best time to be there) or rock climbing in-and-out of the sun and wind all day.
Thank you for your comment and understanding. Leggs to leggs is so sensational feeling, wow!! Men in hose for future would be awesome!!

Good grief. All this fuss over thin footed long johns in various colors.
i love wearing pantyhose and tights the way they make my legs look the warmth the support but as u know only takes bad apples to give us males that just loves wearing a bad image the ones that talk about turn ons and sexual gratification when wearing rather than the love to wear hate to blame men but those that express wearing in that way gives women the wrong idea about men wearing and is a shame that women get the wrong idea about men wearing
