Former Virginia Tech QB and brother of former Atlanta Falcons QB, Marcus Vick was arrested sometime in the wee hours of the morning after trying to outrun the cops. According to reports, Marcus and a female were seen arguing in his vehicle at around 2 a.m. police reports say. When approached by a Norfolk Police Officer on a bike, and asked for his license, Vick drove off, but was caught a few miles ahead. Vick, 24, failed a sobriety test and was charged with DUI, misdemeanor eluding police, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license.
The female passenger, 24-year-old Delicia Lenora Cordon, was charged with being drunk in public. According to the Norfolk Sheriff's Office, Vick was released from jail at approximately 5 a.m. on $1,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday at 9 a.m.
Marcus Vick has a slew of run ins with the law. Back in 2004, Vick convicted for providing alcohol to three underage girls who "claimed" to be college students. In another incident, Vick was charged with reckless driving and possession of marijuana. He was suspended from the university for the fall semester of 2004. After being reinstated to come back to the Hokies after impressive practices and scrimmages, Vick went back to his old ways yet again. This time, Vick angered fans and press in Morgantown, WV with a display of his middle finger to the crowd during the game at West Virginia U. He apologized and was still on the team. Another instance was back in 2006 at the Gator Bowl, Vick stomped on the leg of a University of Louisville player and later stated that it was an accident. It wasn't until four days after this incident, Vick was released from the football "due to a cumulative effect of legal infractions and unsportsmanlike play." Duhhhh, ya think? I kind of feel sorry for him. I mean of course he knows right from wrong, but it seems like being in trouble is all the boy knows how to do. It's a shame when real talent is completely flushed down the toilet.
