Taco Bell Asks 50 Cent To Change His Name

It is so obvious that 50 Cent is the man of the hour in 08. Now, fast food restaurants are honing in on his stardom. The late night hunger crew over at Taco Bell, have issued 50 Cent a charity challenge. As part of their "Why pay more" value menu, Taco bell has sent over a letter asking him to change his name to 79 cent, 89 cent, or 99 cent, for just one day this summer. Taco Bell Corp. President Greg Creed, who made the proposal in a letter written to 50 Cent's agent, also wrote that his company would make a $10,000 donation to a charity of the New York native's choice, if he accepts the request. As part of the deal, 50 Cent would also have to make an appearance at any Taco Bell location around the country he chooses and rap his order in the drive thru with his new name. Using their famous "think outside the bun" slogan, Creed wrote in the letter to the rappers agency William Morris Agency, “We encourage you to ‘Think Outside the Bun’ and hope you accept our offer,”. Well folks, I guess 50 didn't take too kindly to this offer, because a rep from his camp issued a statement saying, "This is a sleazy and ill-conceived publicity stunt by Taco Bell's president, Greg Creed, whose disingenuous offer was leaked to the press before it was even presented to 50 Cent's agent yesterday." Wow... so who should have been thinking outside the bun now Mr. Creed. Being the president of a large corporation like this, you would think that you would know better in regards to how to market your product!!! Back to the drawing board I guess.
