A new Louisiana law has been passed that has been long overdue. On Monday, the State House of Representatives passed a bill authorized by Rep. Rickey Hardy (D-Lafayette) making it illegal to threaten someone with a noose. According to the law, you could be hit with a $5000 fine and a year behind bars if caught displaying a rope in an intimidating manor. The bill isn't completely offical yet. It still needs to go before the Senate for consideration. After the Jena-6, and University of Maryland incidents, this is finally a small measure of healing. I pray that this get's passed and that we initiate other moves to conquer all of the evil in this world.
