Last night, the city was on fiyah!!! The Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash went down last night at Phillips Arena in downtown Atlanta. There were so many celebs in the house that it was crazy. The highlight for most was the all too obvious beef between wanna be king of the south Shawty-Lo, and THE KING OF THE SOUTH, T.I. Shawty came out first, landing the initial blow by posting a video on the big screen saying "A New King Is Born"... YEAH RIGHT!!!! Then the video contained a scene where Shawty is escaping from an FBI agent who resembles Tip, then the agent gets the smack down from a female superior for letting Shawty get away. Boi STOP! Once his set began, Shawty brought out a host of Bankhead artists, namely, D4L, Dem Franchize Boyz, D.G. Yola, and then Luda came out to do his verse of "They Know".
T.I. was the headliner and made it clear that nobody was taking his crown. Tip spoke a whole lot about the numerous haters that he has out there and brought out Atl's B.O.B. to do his hit "Haters Everywhere We Go". While performing a song, Tip immediately stopped the song and shouted "Get Get Get It" and did a mock dance of Shawty Lo's wack ass dance and received "ooooohs" from the crowd. T.I. knows that he's more than doing his part in keeping the south alive so he wasn't really tripping. Before leaving the stage, he shouted to the crowd, “This is my Birthday Bash! I own this sh*t!”
