Comedian Monique arrived at the Radio One "Evening with Mo’Nique" show that was held at Seldom Blues in Detroit on Friday with a slimmer look. Is there something someone isn't telling me? All of our "plus sized" girls are on the lose weight kick and I love it. Monique is back and looking quite slim. The executive producer of "Moniques Fat Chance", and the author of "Skinny Women are Evil" has lost weight and looks wonderful.

Bobby V Is Back
As most of you know, Bobby Valentino was given the boot from DTP (Ludacris' label) earlier this year, and we hadn't heard hide-nor-hair from him since. Of course you can see him around Atlanta at the various clubs or different events, but buddy boy ain't been singing for nobody. Wait... he is on my summertime jam by Lil Wayne titled Mrs. Officer (I heart that song).
Bobby V is coming back to ya ladies, with a new contract with EMI, on his own label Blue Kolla Entertainment. No news on when an album will be released, but for you fans, we'll keep ya posted!

Snoop Dogg Remixes Johnny Cash
Ya'll remember a few months back when snoop and a couple of other r&b acts were doing a reality show on CMT? Well I guess the Doggster has now gone "Country Crazy". He, along with several others are doing a remix cd of some of the late Johnny Cash's songs.
The cd will be titled "Johnny Cash Remixed," due Oct. 14 via Compadre Records/Music World Music. Snoop's version of "I Walk the Line" features his QDT production team, which also includes Teddy Riley and DJ Quik. The project was approved by Cash's son, John Carter Cash, who says his dad "would have loved this remix record. While it stays true to the original recordings, this CD touches on undiscovered ground.
"This is what my father was about: staying true to tradition while creating groundbreaking new music. said Carter Cash. "If you take your time to listen to it, country music is very similar to rap," Snoop Dogg told Billboard last year. "Johnny Cash is the one who stood out to me. I love his style, his swag, the songs he made."Elsewhere, the Alabama 3 tackles "Leave That Junk Alone," Pete Rock reworks "Folsom Prison Blues," Mocean Worker updates "Hey Porter" and Frank Sinatra remixer Philip Steir handles "Get Rhythm."Other acts involved in the album include Sonny J, Kennedy, Mexican Industry Of Sound, the Heavy and Count de Money.
A documentary about the creation of "Remixed" is in production. The album will also be available in a deluxe vinyl edition on Sept. 23.

Who Is Miss Jones' Replacement?
For those of you who don't know who the dude is that is replacing NYC's Hot 97 Miss Jones'; well it's Cali's own Big Boi from Power 106. He currently hosts the morning show "Big Boi's Neighborhood".
Big Boy was named Personality of the Year four times by the Radio Music Awards and three times by Radio and Records magazine. The National Association of Broadcasters awarded him the Marconi Award in 2002 and 2004. He has made numerous t.v. show and movie appearances and is well loved in the industry. I'm sure his presence at Hot 97 will be a refreshing change, especially when Miss Jones kept up a whole mess of drama. I always wondered about her though. I wondered if she was for real with her bitchiness or was it all an act. But I would hope that a person wouldn't go around being a complete asshole on purpose just for ratings! LOL!!! Oh, my bad... I blacked out for a minute there!
From looking at Big Boi's credentials, it seems like he will be way more accepted than ol' girl was, but that ain't hard to be!
