Shaq Traded To Cleveland Cavaliers

The deal is just about done. Following rumors of a trade, 15-time NBA All-Star Shaquille O'Neal is reportedly headed for Cleveland in a deal that frees up some cash for the Phoenix Suns.

The Cavs are sending Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic and a second-round pick in Thursday's (June 25) draft to the Suns. The deal was reached late last night and is expected to be finalized today.

By acquiring Shaq, the Cavs hope the aging O'Neal, who is entering the final season of his contract, can help give Lebron the supporting cast he needs for his best shot at a title, after a disappointing Eastern Conference Finals series in which he lost against the Orlando Magic, ending their hopes at reaching the Finals -- which they were expected to reach after ending the regular season with the best record in the NBA.

However, critics question whether Shaq alone will help King James complete that task. After all, his move to Phoenix backfired and the Suns didn't even make the playoffs. Simply put, O'Neal is not the same player he was when he was winning three titles with the Lakers from 2000-02.

"They didn't give up anything for him in terms of main rotation players," said one Eastern Conference president. "So that's good. But Shaq doesn't give them size in their backcourt to match up with the Magic. And as for being someone who can guard Dwight Howard, Shaq can't do that. The Magic are still better, depending on what happens in free agency."

TNT analyst gave this senerio on how the match-up with Lebron and Shaq could work: "If Shaq is willing to accept a subsidiary role to LeBron James -- how can he not? -- and get out of the way when the James Express gets up a head of steam down the lane, the Cavaliers could have some offensive success. If Shaq can accept the fact that minutes, perhaps entire quarters, may go by when he doesn't get so much as a sniff of the ball, the Cavs could have some offensive options down the stretches of games other than clearouts for LBJ (though, thinking about it, that's been a pretty effective play)."

James could enter free agency in 2010, so another missed Finals would be reason for the King to leave Cleveland. But if the Shaq team-up proves to work, it could keep him there.

James can extend his contract this summer. But he is expected to wait to see what the Cavs do to increase his chances of winning a title. Since joining Cleveland in 2003, he has made it to one Finals, in 2007, losing to the Spurs in four games. The Suns, meanwhile, are in a cost-cutting mode and decided that O'Neal's $21 million salary was worth dumping.

Word has it that Shaq found out he was being traded through Twitter. DAMN!!!

Shaq Sends Kobe Congrats... Funny!

We all know about the beef that Shaq and Kobe have had over the last few years and how Shaq did the rap about Kobe tasting his ass! Anyways, When the Lakers won the Championship the other night, Shaq sent Kobe a text sayin:

Congratualtions kobe, u deserve it. You played great . Enjoy it my man enjoy it. And I know what yur sayin rt now “Shaq how my ass taste.”

Shaq's Accuser Mary Jane Has Stalking In Her Veins

Fellas, please take this message and run with it... there are too many women for you to be literally running behind one. Do you guys not realize how vast the numbers are of us women out numbering you men?

Once again, the pot of stew gets a little bit thicker. The chick that has accused NBA baller Shaquille O'Neal of stalking her, Alexis Miller, an Atlanta rapper who goes by MaryJane, has got some skeletons of her own. We all know by now that she got a protective order against Shaq. FYI... it's not a restraining order because you can't get one in Fulton County, GA, only protective orders.

Apparently, Ms. Miller has a history of filing these orders against people or having them filed on her. I just learned that court papers were filed last year by a woman named Lakisha Renae Hall ordering Miller to stay 500 yards away from Hall and have no contact with her.

I know Shaq has got an amazing attorney, so finding out that Ms. Miller has filed a previous order against another man named Jonathan Stubbs back in October 2007, claiming that he stalked her and even pulled out a gun and fired it asking her "Who were you with?" That petition was dismissed because Miller never followed through.

All of this should be good news for Shaq, but I'm sure he wasn't worried about it anyways!

Shaq Threatens Atlanta Rapper Mary Jane

Shaquille O'Neal is looking like the next Suge Knight up in this piece. According to TMZ.com, Alexis Miller, an Atlanta hip-hop artist who goes by the stage name "MaryJane", just got a restraining order against NBA baller Shaquille O'Neal, alleging he threatened to hurt her and harassed her with heavy-breathing over the phone.

Miller and Shaq supposedly broke up last month around July 18th, and according to the documents, she claims following their break-up last month, Shaq "threatened to 'blackball" her from the recording industry by paying established artists....$50,000 each for their agreement to refuse to perform or record with her in the future..."

According to court docs Shaq wrote her one email that reads, "I dnt no who the fuk u think u dealin wit u will neva be heard from one phone call is all I gotta make no try me. Sho me."... what the fuck was that. You talk about ebonics fo'real! Somebody needs to go back to elementary school and try again.

The docs also allege Shaq sent her "an unsolicited vulgar and offensive illustration of a man physically restraining a woman while forcing her to engage in sexual intercourse with him."O'Neal is scheduled to appear before a judge on Sept. 4. A call to Shaq's rep was not returned.

The Atlanta rapper and Shaq have known one another for about 18 months. Shaq is also accused of sending multiple emails that have caused her concern. As you all know, Shaq and his wife Shaunie have decided to give their marriage a go once again, so I know dude is really trying to back pedal his way out of this one.

Shaq and Shaunie Back Together

So I guess Shaq and Shaunie are getting things back in order in their lives. Months after he filed for divorce, Shaquille O'Neal and his wife Shaunie are getting back together.

"Things are great, and we're moving on to the good stuff," Mrs. O'Neal told Extra. "We've both learned a lot and know that our family comes first and that's the main thing for both of us." On Thursday — while promoting the launch of her new video-sharing Web site — she also told the Associated Press, "Neither one of us could probably answer why we were getting divorced in the first place. "Things have been going so great, that someone actually had to remind us that 'Hey, you do remember those papers are still there.' Literally, it was days ago," she said. "So, we've agreed that before we leave Florida in a few days we'll make sure that that's gone away."

Shaq and Shaunie filed for divorce back last year in September after being married for almost five years. The couple has four children. In the claims by Shaunie during the "divorce" proceedings, she requested copies of Shaq's $20m a year contract and his tax records. While she was doing all of that, Shaq was telling folks that the Mrs. was being sneaky with her assets and he wanted an exact accounting of all of the money, funds, stocks and bonds that she acquired during the marriage.

Damn dude... I'm happy that they've decided to work things out. I'm not sure of all of the particulars of why they were going to get divorced, but when you have all of that stuff together, you have got to communicate and not let the little stuff tear you apart. Hopefully, they've learned their lesson.
