The Obama campaign has great support throughout these last few months, to which most has come in the form of musical appreciation.
Kanye West, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Wonder and a number of other avowed Obama supporters have lent songs to the fundraising album "Yes We Can: Voices of a Grassroots Generation", which went on sale today exclusively on the Democratic candidate's campaign website.
In addition to uplifting tracks from the aforementioned artists, the compilation includes John Mayer's "Waiting on the World to Change," Jackson Browne's "Looking East," Los Lonely Boys' "Make It Better," excerpts from Obama speeches and a dozen other feel-good tunes. Or, more pointedly, look-how-good-we-could-feel-if-we-elect-Obama tunes.
The diversity of the artists included "underscores how deeply inspiring this campaign has been across boundaries," Hidden Beach Recordings CEO Steve McKeever said Friday.
Downloadable versions and tangible CDs are $24.99 and $30, respectively, with all proceeds going to the Obama campaign.
