The damage from a “significant fire” at the Fulton County estate of Atlanta rapper Ludacris was limited to his pool house, and no one was injured.
Ludacris was out of town at the time. A family member was in the basement of the main residence when the fire started, said Fulton County Fire Department spokesman Gregory Chambers.
But it was a neighbor on DeMooney Road near College Park in south Fulton who initially reported the blaze, Chambers said. The alarm system in the rapper’s home was eventually triggered, alerting Ludacris’ relative.
The fire — which destroyed the pool house — was put out within 30 minutes, Chambers said. He said the pool house was larger than most homes.
A fire investigator was on the scene by 11:30 p.m. No cause for the blaze was immediately identified.
