Alicia Keys Leading In AMA Award Noms

Alicia Keys has received five American Music Awards nominations to lead the pack, while Coldplay and the Eagles secured four each.

Keys, the Eagles and Coldplay will both be vying for the newly created artist of the year award along with Lil Wayne and Chris Brown.

Nominations were announced Tuesday by telecast host Jimmy Kimmel and recording artists Julianne Hough and Jesse McCartney at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

AMAs have 21 categories divided according to genres. For the second year, winners will be determined by online voting at amavote.com. Broadcast will take place Nov. 23 at the Nokia Theater.

Swizz Beats Finally Speaks About Affair

So this little "love triangle" between Swizz Beats, estranged wife Mashonda, and Alicia Keys has finally hit the mainstream media. Swizzy talked with Us magazine and states that Alicia is not the blame for his seperation from Mashonda.

"I can no longer ignore the harmful rumors, that my friend Alicia Keys is in any way linked to my marital circumstances or to the decision that [my wife] Mashonda and I have made to separate," Beatz tells Us.

"I am disappointed that some have chosen to try and tarnish Alicia's reputation by irresponsibly implicating her in a situation that she has absolutely nothing to do with," Beatz, a father of two, says.

He continues with, "This experience has been one of the most difficult times in my life, and as was stated when we announced our separation several months ago, I ask that you continue to respect my privacy in dealing with this personal matter,"

Well... it took you long enough! I just don't know though. Why would Mashonda put Alicia in all of this for no reason? Maybe Swizz and Alicia have a good "friendship" and Mashonda is just speculating that they could be messing around. Who knows. But as my granny always said, "what's done in the dark, always comes to light".

Alicia Keys Throws Birthday Party For Swizz?

It's being reported all over that Ms. Alicia Keys threw a birthday party for her "secret lover" Swizz Beats. This further confirms the suspicions of everyone about Alicia being the cause for the break up between Swizz and his wife Mashonda.

Swizz brought out his entire family (mom and co.) along to celebrate. But it was supposed to be top secret that it was Alicia who actually threw this party for him. Supposedly Swizz and Mashonda were supposed to start marriage counseling next week, but I'm sure this little rendevous throws a wrench in all of those plans.

Alicia kept the purpose of the party secret from everyone else, including the African performer she hired for the party named Angelique Kidjo. Undoubtedly there will be no pictures of this party posted anywhere because Alicia is strict on her staff (obviously not strict enough because this got out) by incorporating strict confidentiality forms and no a cameras policy she has everyone in her camp sign.

Also, J-Lo and hubby Marc Anthony stopped by the party but left because of the blatant flaunting between Alicia and Swizz of their affair and relationship. Especially since Swizz and Mashonda haven’t signed the separation/divorce papers. J-Lo and Mashonda became friends over time because Swizz produced a couple of songs for her.

The Secret Life of Bees Hits Toronto Film Fest

The cast from the upcoming movie "The Secret Life of Bees" hit up the Toronto film festival this weekend to do a press conference and to debut the movie. Slated to come out in theaters sometime next month, the movie stars, Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, Tristan Wilde, Nate Parker, Sophie Okonedo, and Dakota Fanning and it’s directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood. I see Queen Latifah is rockin that crazy ass asymetrical cut that EVERYBODY else is rockin!
