Antoine Walker Arrested For Writing Bad Checks To Casinos

I just don't understand some of the ball players. Aaaaaaall that money you've been making over the years and you're out writing bogus checks??? Are you kidding me dude? All this time and you haven't invested in a financial player to foresee you through the hard times?

Former Boston Celtic, now free agent, Antoine Walker was arrested Thursday morning inside the Harrah's Casino in South Lake Tahoe. His charge: owing nearly $1 million in gambling debts.

Walker, who has been on 6 teams and in the league for 13 years, had a warrant issued for his arrest earlier this week for owing over $822,000 in gambling debts and faces three felony counts for writing bad checks.

Walker reportedly took out ten huge loans from several casinos, all around $100,000 each, most of which has not been paid back. Under Nevada law, casino loans are just like bank checks. If you sign the marker, you owe that money whether you win or lose.

After he was arrested he posted a $135,000 bond. Walker is due in Las Vegas Justice Court on Monday (July 20).

Brandon Jennings Can't Shut Up!

This makes twice in months that NBA rookie Brandon Jennings has been caught running his mouth and talking reckless about other players in the league.

Only this time, Jennings was video taped by rapper Joe Budden who in turn, placed the video on his youtube channel.

Jennings, who was picked 10th in this years NBA draft and sent to the Milwaukee Bucks and who I might add, hasn't even played one damn second in the pro's just yet, has already caused some serious blacklash for himself.

Just after Jennings was drafted, he had a phone conversation with rapper Joe Budden. As I stated before, Budden placed the video, which has since been removed on his youtube channel Joe Budden TV. During the chat, the NBA rookie bad-mouthed NBA vets like Ramon Sessions and Chris Duhon, boasted that he would beat out the Bucks' current starter Luke Ridnour to become the starting point guard, and even called out the New York Knicks for not drafting him with the 8th pick.

Since the conversation leaked, 19-year-old Jennings has received a lot of backlash, raising questions about his maturity. A little back-story about the player: he opted to play professionally in Italy instead of going to college and stirred the pot by criticizing fellow rookie Ricky Rubio in the days leading up to the draft. Jennings expressed regret regarding the incident, saying it's been a learning experience for him. Sure it has... that's why you still runnin yo damn mouth!

"I'm pretty glad that it happened now, something that I can learn from," he said in a statement. "Now I know you can't trust everybody, everybody's not your friend. It was a joke. We were joking and everything. But for my part, I shouldn't be talking about team business that I have no idea about."

He explained that he was unaware that he was being videotaped, but acknowledged it was wrong either way.

"I was wrong for the things I said," Jennings continued. "It was jokingly, we were playing around, laughing. But at the same time, I have to be careful and I'm going to learn from that."

Since the controversy over the incident spread, the NBA rookie had a chance to speak with Joe Budden and said they're ok, but has learned not to trust everybody.

"We're OK," Jennings said. "We did talk about it, my agent, we all talked about it. Everybody's pretty upset about the situation. Because the last thing I was thinking about was I'm getting recorded on YouTube having a conversation with a friend. But like I said, I'll learn from it, and now I know I can't really trust everybody."

Some of the Bucks' staff says the YouTube incident shows the kind of confidence their young rookie has, which assistant coach Kelvin Sampson likes. Ok... I understand you have tons of confidence... but get some minutes in dude before you start saying -ish that you have to take back! Learn your lesson boy! Shut the hell up sometimes!

Lebron James Is Becoming An Attention Whore.

Sooooooo... being humble has totally gone out of Lebron's vocabulary. Soon after he cooly pointed out to everyone that he won the Most Valuable Player award, Lebron and his wife were spotted down in St. Tropez yesterday letting folks know that although he didn't win the big game, just check his stats and they'll speak for his abilities!

Whatever Lebron. You're still a poor sport, and these bum ass shirts only solidify that point.

Kobe Bryant Wants You To Know...

Because I'm from Cali doesn't necessarily mean I'm a Lakers fan! So I don't even know if this pic is from the parade or if this is just Kobe being... what else... Kobe. But I'll go with the former and the latter on this one. Kobe wore this today to show off all four of his rings. I guess it would have been in poor taste to actually wear them on four fingers so instead, it was more pleasing to the eye for everyone to see the rings displayed all across is scrawny chest!

Charles Barkley Loses T-Mobile Deal

It's becoming increasingly harder to hear Charles Barkley now. T-Mobile has pulled its commercials featuring the former NBA star and leave TNT game analyst in light of his recent troubles with the law.

"Given the recent developments, for the time being, we've replaced TV ads featuring Mr. Barkley with more general-market advertising," read a statement released by the mobile carrier, per the New York Post. "As he works through his personal matters, we will evaluate where to go from here."

Ya'll know those funny T-Mobile ads featuring Charles Barkley and Dwayne Wade for "Who's in your Fave 5?", where Barkley plays the role of mentor and good-natured harasser to Wade.

Barkley, who's been voted one of the 50 greatest NBA players of all time, was arrested early on Dec. 31 in Scottsdale, Ariz., on suspicion of drunken driving after officers allegedly spotted him running a stop sign. Tests ultimately showed that his blood-alcohol level was 0.149 percent, according to the Gilbert Police Department.

Last week TNT announced that its outspoken, Emmy-winning commentator was taking a leave of absence. He can't be mad at nobody but himself. And he wants to run for Governor of Alabama??? BOI STOP!

Larry Johnson Sued Yet Again!

Kansas City Chiefs Running Back Larry Johnson is in trouble... AGAIN. And... AGAIN... his troubles stem from his blatant disrespect for women. This time, Johnson is being sued by a woman who accuses him of spitting a drink in her face at a bar and threatening to kill her and her boyfriend.

Ashley N. Stewart, 24, filed the lawsuit Monday claiming negligence, assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress. She seeks punitive damages and attorney fees, as reported by the Associated Press. Johnson was charged last month with simple assault for the incident that occurred Oct. 10 at Kansas City's Club Blonde.

"This is not about money," said Kirra N. Jones, Stewart's attorney. "My client has worked her way through school. She's in the Air Force, National Guard. She's a hardworking student and this really came as an unfortunate incident in her life. But you know what? She's a fighter. She's willing to be the person who finally makes Larry Johnson answer for his repeatedly bad behavior."

According to the lawsuit, Johnson offered to buy Stewart a shot of alcohol on Oct. 3, but she declined. A week later, she alleged, Johnson became belligerent toward her and said, "All I wanted to tell you is I'm going to kill your boyfriend." <---*Doesn't make sense, sounds like they knew each other???* Stewart claims Johnson also said, "I'm gonna kill you, too. First I'm gonna kill your boyfriend, then I'm going to kill you and that's a promise."

She says that as she was backing away from him, Johnson took a drink from his glass and spit it in her face, then his two bodyguards tackled her. The suit claims that Johnson tried three more times to spit on Stewart as he was walking to his car with his bodyguards. It was the fourth time in five years that Johnson has been accused of assaulting a woman. He has a Dec. 4 court date for allegedly pushing a woman's face at another Kansas City night spot in February. I'm tellin ya'll, these athletes, rappers, whoever are getting waaaaaaay beside themselves with this mess! And they wonder why women are turning gay or to other races? Boi STOP!

Plaxico Burress Suspended One Damn Game!

I guess -ish don't change just because your team wins a Super Bowl huh? I thought life was supposed to be sweet once you reach a career goal? Well not according to New York Giants wide-receiver Plaxico Burress and wife Tiffany. Plax was just recently suspended for JUST ONE DAMN GAME for domestic violence violations against the NFL. Apparently Mr. Burress went on man handling his wife here and there but never reported it to the league which is against league rules. All legal issues must be reported to the league commissioner. Here's how things went down:

Records show Tiffany Burress called police on June 2 following what she said was an argument with her husband. When officers arrived, she claimed he had grabbed her. He, in turn, said his wife slapped him in the face.

No charges were filed, but Municipal Judge Terence P. Concoran granted Tiffany Burress a temporary restraining against her husband.

The order was later dismissed by a state Family Court judge in Paterson, police said. Police were called again on Aug. 19. According to a report of the incident, Tiffany Burress left her husband at a New York nightclub after the two got into an argument there. Plaxico Burress arrived home later and began playing loud music, it says.

Citing the couple’s small child, Tiffany Burress called police to the house, records show. She got another municipal order against her husband — which also was dismissed at the state level.

This -ish don't make no sense! Tiffany... why would you keep getting these restraining orders then having them dismissed? Ladies ladies ladies... let's smarten up out there! Our mothers didn't bring us into this world to be punching bags and shoving toys! They brought us here to be lovers, protectors, queens, and most of all to be loved, honored, and adored by all!

Mark Cuban Responds To Josh Howard Incident

If you haven't seen it, then here it is. I told you guys the other day what this dude Josh Howard said about the National Anthem and Barack Obama... well now you can see/hear it for yourselves. I admit, he's an @sshole for this whole thing. Was it even necessary to say?

The owner of the Dallas Mavericks, which is the team that Howard plays for, Mark Cuban posted a response to this whole shabang on his blog. He also gave us some more info. He received a large amount of emails from a whole lotta racist out there. Cuban, being the smartass that he is...(in a good way), posted those emails on his blog, along with the full names and email addresses of those individuals. I love it!

Josh Howard Is An Idiot- Won't Salute The Flag

The Dallas Mavericks Josh Howard doesn't care for the “Star Spangled Banner.”

On the court, Josh Howard is graceful and smooth, but off the court, he's a complete jackass! In the past, Howard has admitted to smoking weed, getting arrested for driving nearly 100 in a 55 mile-per-hour zone and throwing a party the night before a playoff game, but those aren't the only things this fool is guilty of; He doesn’t like the national anthem.

Granted, we are all entitled to our own opinions and whatnot, but at least back your opinion up with something of substanence. Howard is caught on YouTube at Allen Iverson’s recent celebrity flag football game telling the camera: “The Star Spangled Banner’s going on right now. I don’t celebrate that -ish. I’m Black.” Then he goes on to mutter something about Sen. Barack Obama before the camera is aimed a different way.

Sooooo, just because you're black, you're not supposed to salute the flag? Since when? Of course, I don't salute the flag everytime the National Anthem is playing because I know that my love for my country is in my heart and not just on my chest. But if you don't believe in this country, the country that has afforded you these fancy cars, big houses, and salaries that equal up to 20 middle class families, then get the hell on! Our soldiers are out there fighting everyday to keep us safe and to protect the current riddled situation that we are in. Don't make it worse by compounding statements such as these that should be kept to your damn self!

Chad Johnson Legally Changes Name To "Ocho Cinco"

So Chad Johnson finally did what he said he was going to do. What's that you ask? The Cincinnati Bengals receiver has legally changed his name to Chad Javon Ocho Cinco in Broward County, Fla., a switch that became official this week, according to several media reports. Johnson, who lives in Miami, didn’t return a message left on his cell phone Friday night.

"It’s something I don’t think anyone has ever done before,” he told the team’s Web site. “Have I ever had a reason for why I do what I do? I’m having fun."

Two years ago, Chad gave himself the name Ocho Cinco, which in spanish translates to the numbers 85, which is his jersey number on the team. He even went as far as to put it on the back of his uniform before a game. Quarterback Carson Palmer ripped it off before the kickoff. After the season, coach Marvin Lewis—who dislikes Johnson’s attention-getting stunts—referred to the receiver as “Ocho Psycho.”

Dennis Northcutt Had Baby Mama Beat Up

These athletes just don't get it do they? First Ray Carruth now Dennis Northcutt. TMZ.com has uncovered a shocking lawsuit that was just filed by a woman who is claiming that Dennis Northcutt, wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars, is the father of her unborn baby, but get this... she's also claiming that he had someone brutally beat her up.

Sharri Henry alleges that this past May (08), when she was four months pregnant, she was at a spot in L.A. where Northcutt and his crew AND current girlfriend were all hanging as well. She claims that Northcutt had his cousin, who is a dude, to "maliciously assault, beat, strike and batter her (Plaintiff), her face and head with great force and violence ... causing severe and permanent disfigurement to her face.

TMZ confirmed the report with the LAPD that it actually did happen outside of the Falcon Blub in Hollywood on May 17. The lawsuit that Ms. Henry has filed with the L.A. County Superior Court alleges battery and conspiracy to commit assault. She's seeking unspecified damages.

TMZ spoke with Northcutt's agent, Jerome Stanley, and he attempted to dumb this down by saying that Ms. Henry was just a "jilted ex-girlfriend who is claiming to be pregnant with his child." and that she's just doing this for money. Stanley says Henry is upset because Northcutt dumped her for another girl. But he also states that "She verbally antagonized the guy who hit her." Sooooooo, is he trying to say that she deserved what she got?

The agent claims that Northcutt knew nothing about the incident until after it had all went down. Ms. Henry's lawyer, Loyst P. Fletcher, gave TMZ the following statement: "Mr. Northcutt and his entourage, which included his current girlfriend, were apparently angry that Miss Henry refused to abort a child that she believed he fathered. Words were exchanged and a member of that entourage, whom we believe is Mr. Northcutt's cousin, viciously attacked Miss Henry." She's now 7 months pregnant. BTW, Northcutt just inked a $17 million contract with his team.

Shaq Stripped of His Sheriffs Badge!

I really hate to say this but I'm glad that this has happened. The Maricopa Sheriffs office where Shaquille O'Neal was made a "speacial deputy" and "colonel", has stripped the bumbling wanna be rapper of his badges. This action comes in response to the widely talked about and publisized "freestyle" that Shaq gave using the n-word, and other obscenities. Sheriff Joe Arpaio didn't like this not one bit.

“I want his two badges back,” Arpaio said to The Associate Press on Tuesday (Jun 24). “Because if any one of my deputies did something like this, they’re fired. I don’t condone this type of racial conduct.” I totally agree with him. Whether it's within the black community or outside of it, it's still considered a racial epithet and still should not be accepted when we are referring to one another.

Sheriff Arpaio went on to say that while he didn’t expect his word to teach Shaq a lesson, he hoped the Phoenix Suns center would learn that as a role model who wants to be a full-time sheriff one day, he needs to know his words matter. “Maybe I’m old fashioned,” continued Arpaio, who made headlines in the Hip-Hop world earlier this year for his tough prosecution of rapper DMX, “but I don’t think that either conduct should be out there publicly, even if media wasn’t there.”

Shaquille, went on ESPN, Monday June 23, to explain the whole controversy. Shaq claims it was "all in fun", and that he has no beef with Kobe. Uhhh yeah! Ok!

NFL Star Jevon Walker Get's Knocked Da Fuck Out!

Oakland Raiders Wide Receiver Jevon Walker was found unconscious and brutally beaten on a Las Vegas Street . Walker just signed a six year, $55 million deal with the Raiders after he had been released by the Denver Broncos in February. He was out Sunday night in Vegas at club Body English at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. A newspaper columnist says that Jevon was seen spraying the crowd with bottles of Dom Perignon Rose' champagne and that his first round of drinks cost the baller $15g's. Dumb ass! Police say they found Walker unconscious around 7:15 am Monday morning. He was taken to Sunrise Medical Centre's Trauma Unit where his condition was "fair" by Monday afternoon. It's been reported that he has suffered a broken eye socket *ouch*! No tips or leads have come about in this case.
