Barack Obama Holds BBQ On White House Lawn

Yet another reason why I love President Barack Obama! The President held a Fathers Day BBQ on the White House lawn yesterday and invited a few friends along for the festivities. Among the guests were Iron Chef Bobby Flay, Dwayne Wade, The President of Morehouse College. Alonzo Mourning, and several teens from the D.C. area. The President took this opportunity to talk about things that real men should be doing to build up our communities and our families, taking responsibility as men and many other things. I'm sure that this whole thing is going to be satirized by everyone who is an Obama critic or those who were just itching for the moment to say a racial joke referring to blacks and bbq. But who cares!!! It was a blessed event and it looks like everyone enjoyed themselves

Barack Obama Is The Best Excuse EVER!

This right here is the exact reason why Barack Obama is my secret crush!!! Bump the doctors note, or the note from mom saying how you had a tummy ache and that's why you stayed home from school that day. I"ll do you one better... how about an excuse note from the President of the United States??? Yeaaaaaaaaaah... can't nothing top that one.

One little girl in Greenbay, WI actually got that opportunity. The little girls name is Kennedy, and she's ten years old. Little Ms. Kennedy was lucky enough to be able to attend the town hall meeting President Obama held in Greenbay yesterday. Her dad let the President know she had to skip school to do so–plus she absolutely loves the President.

So what did Barack do? On a piece of paper, President Obama wrote:

“To Kennedy’s teacher: Please excuse Kennedy’s absence. She’s with me. Barack Obama.”

President Obama stepped off the stage to hand-deliver the note especially to Kennedy.

That's what I'm talkin about !!!!

President Obama Enjoys An NBA Game Up Front

♥Oh Mr. President... How do I love thee... let me count the ways. ♥ I so heart our President for stepping outside of the norm and just being a human being and not conforming to what is expected of him. What is the harm in him being able to relax and enjoy life all while still being able to tackle the issues with total and utter reliance.

Our President went to the Bulls vs Wizards game last night to see his beloved Chicago Bulls get their butts tapped by the home team in a 113-90 victory. The Prez sat courtside right on the floor with everyone else instead of sitting in the executive boxes like all other big shots that come to the games. Looks like he was having a good time too! I heart B.O.!

Barack Does Comics Too!

I swear... this past election of President-Elect, Barack Obama, has brought out the best in everyone... aaaand the worst, but we won't focus on that. B.O. will be featured in a special Inauguration Day edition of Spider-Man.

Barack has long admitted to that he has been a fan for a long time of the comic book series and when the folks over at Marvel heard this revelation, they decided to add the new Pres as a character in an upcoming issue. The issue is said to be a bonus in Marvel Comic's Amazing Spider-Man #583, which will be available in comic book shops nationwide on Jan. 14 for $3.99 and is expected to sell out... YA THINK?, with half the covers devoted to Obama.

Ya'll can't tell me nothin else about this dude! He's beyond the greatest it don't make no sense!

Barack Obama has done it yet again! He's been named Time Magazines "Person of the Year"!!! Are we really surprised though? I'm not. What... did you expect Sarah Palin or something? Yeah the freak right! Throughout his career, you hear nothing but praise for Barack Obama. Have you heard anyone... other than bitter neo-cons say anything negative about the man? And still, I don't think they believe their own b.s. that they spit his direction. The man is brillient to say the least. Barack Obama Is Our First Black President!!!!!!!!!

America... meet the next page in American/Black History! Former Illinois Senator, and newly appointed Commander and Chief of the free world Barack Hussein Obama has won the 2008 Presidential Election.

Turning to the next chapter in American history, Barack Obama offers hope, change, and and the promise of a brighter tomorrow! In a race that has lasted 18 grueling months and 2 years in the making, Barack Obama came out the victor and squelched the doubts of the naysayers forever!

Once the race had gone so far, Senator John McCain conceded to defeat and to the end of his own 10 year bid to gain full access to the steps of the White House. McCain called his former rival to concede defeat. "The American people have spoken, and spoken clearly," McCain told disappointed supporters in Arizona. In Senator McCain's speech on the admiration and respect that he has for Obama, his words were greeted by boo's from the audience, but it was to be expected from the losing party.

But when Obama spoke of McCain, he was greeted with applause and cheers! The sign of the "bigger man"!In Obama's acceptacne speech, he stated, "There are many who won't agree with every decision or policy I make as president, and we know that government can't solve every problem. But I will always be honest with you about the challenges we face."

President Bush added his congratulations from the White House, where his tenure runs out on Jan. 20. "May God bless whoever wins tonight," he had told dinner guests earlier.

Obama, in his speech, invoked the words of Lincoln and seemed to echo John F. Kennedy. "So let us summon a new spirit of patriotism, of service and responsibility where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder," he said.

He and his running mate, Sen. Joseph Biden of Delaware, will take their oaths of office as president and vice president on Jan. 20, 2009. McCain remains in the Senate. Sarah Palin, McCain's running mate, returns to Alaska as governor after a tumultuous debut on the national stage. He will move into the Oval Office as leader of a country that is almost certainly in recession, and fighting two long wars, one in Iraq, the other in Afghanistan.
