Papoose Linked to Rikers Island Slashings

More silliness in the world of rap. A New York Post article has linked New York rapper and Remy Ma's fiance', Papoose to a 2006 inmate slashing on Riker’s Island.

Per a source in the story, the rapper was pressured by members of the Bloods organization to give inmates the message to go ahead with the attack. The rapper put on a show at the prison for low-risk inmates, and two of those inmates were subsequently slashed in the face after he flashed gang signs on stage, according to the Post.

The Brooklyn rapper demanded at the last minute that two of his friends, each incarcerated in different jails, be brought to see his concert in the George Motchan Detention Center’s gym. Officials initially denied his request but gave in when Papoose threatened to cancel... cancel then dumbass... not like you're a well known rapper anyway!!!

According to the article, high-ranking supervisors stepped in and permitted the transfer, During the set, Papoose flashed Bloods signs, according to an official. Inmates associated with the Bloods erupted in cheers, according to another source. Suspected Bloods members slashed two prisoners in the face with razors when the set ended.

Papoose's spokespeople have yet to comment on the incident or the article. But why is this mess just now coming out three years later... and who the hell says that Papoose is the MAIN cause of all of this??? I'm just playing devils advocate here.

Webbie Arrested For Evading The Police

Louisiana rapper Webbie was arrested in Mississippi on Sunday (September 14) following a high speed chase that took police from the interstate to surface streets.

According to local news station WAFB, the 23-year-old rapper whose real name is Webster Gradney, ignored police sirens when they attempted to pull over his 2009 Dodge Challenger for a traffic violation on I-59 at around 3:30 p.m., continuing to drive recklessly until exiting the interstate.

During the chase, Webbie collided with another vehicle, but kept going. Police stopped to attend to the victims of the other car and lost sight of Webbie's car. Witnesses said they saw the rapper exit the Challenger and get into another vehicle, which was a 1993 Ford Crown Victoria. Police later found the car with Webbie and two other men inside.

Webbie was arrested and charged with one count of felony eluding, one count of driving under the influence, and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana. He was booked and jailed into the Forrest County Regional Jail. Police later said that the small amount of marijuana was found in the abandoned Challenger. They also added that Webbie has one pending felony charge of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle because of the car crash. The other two men were questioned and later released without charge.

At press time, it was unclear if the rapper is still being held.

BMF Founders Get 30 Years In Prison

BMF (Black Mafia Family) founders and brothers, Terry "Southwest T" and Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory, were sentenced to 30 years in prison on Friday (September 12) for running a large scale nationwide cocaine trafficking ring, reports the Detroit Free Press.

The brothers pleaded guilty last year to heading a continuing criminal enterprise, which trafficked large volumes of cocaine throughout the nation from 1990 through 2005.

Their organization generated hundreds of millions of dollars during that time period, affording them luxurious homes, cars, boats, and jewelry. Some of their money was filtered through legitimate business such as BMF Entertainment, a record label who released music from artists such as Bleu DaVinci (who himself was indicted on drug conspiracy charges).

Under terms of a plea bargain, the brothers agreed to forfeit $270 million to the government.BMF began in the early 1990s in Detroit, authorities said, and eventually extended their activities to Missouri, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, California and Texas -- using vehicles equipped with hidden compartments to transport cocaine and cash.

65 people have been indicted in the BMF case, most of which have pleaded guilty and half have been sentenced, the U.S. Attorney's Office told the paper. In massive seizures in the case, the government has taken more than $19 million in assets from ring members -- including 13 homes, 35 vehicles, over $5 million in cash, and millions of dollars worth of jewelry.

One of the best-known defendants in the case was famed jeweler Jacob Arabov (aka Jacob The Jeweler) who, back in June, was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison, and fined $50,000 for lying to federal agents investigating the drug ring. He was originally arrested for conspiring to launder money for the BMF.

Color Me Badd Lead Singer Jailed For Domestic Abuse

Remember this dude? Well if you don't you should. I'm sure that quite of few of you 90's babies were conceived to a song this dude did. He's the Bryan Abrams, the lead singer of the popular early 90's group Color Me Badd. And now, he's living up to the groups namesake of being "badd".

The former Color Me Badd crooner was jailed in Oklahoma Friday on charges of public drunkenness, domestic abuse and assault and battery after roughing up his girlfriend in the middle of a restaurant, according to the arrest report obtained by the Oklahoman newspaper.

A waiter at the eatery where the incident took place told police that he witnessed Abrams punch the woman in the nose and threaten to take both their lives.

"I’m a kill you! You and me! You and me!" he screamed, per the witness' account.

Arriving at the scene at about 4 p.m. after receiving a call about a domestic disturbance, officers smelled alcohol on Abrams' breath and observed the singer slurring his speech and blurting out "random sentence fragments." The alleged victim had some swelling around her nose and a red mark on her face, according to the report.

With his girlfriend agreeing to press charges, Abrams, 38, was booked into Oklahoma County Jail and is being held there in lieu of $4,000 bail.

I'm just wondering how women stay with men like this. You saw the signs before this crap happened. You knew this mo'fo was ig'nant!

Da Brat Sentenced to 3 Years In Prison

Rapper turned reality star Da Brat will be doing time behind bars as a judge has sentenced her to three years in prison for attacking another woman at an Atlanta nightclub last year.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Brat copped a guilty plea to aggravated assault today (August 22) in a DeKalb County courtroom. In addition to the jail time, Superior Court Judge Gail Flake also sentenced the rapper to seven years probation and 200 hours of community service.

Upon leaving the courtroom the popular ’90s rapper - known for her collaborations with hip-hop mogul Jermaine Dupri as well as her stints in a string of VH1 reality shows - appeared confident. “I love y’all,” she said to about six weeping relatives as they replied, “We love you too.”

The prison terms come as a result of Da Brat’s actions at a Halloween party at Studio 72 nightclub on October 31 2007. After striking a waitress with a rum bottle due to an alleged argument, the woman was immediately hospitalized and suffered permanent facial scarring.

Kwame Kilpatrick Ordered To Jail

Detroit's infamous and trifling "hip hop" mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick has been ordered to a county jail by a federal judge for a bond violation last month. According to The New York Times, Judge Ronald Giles made the decision earlier today (August 7) after it was discovered that the “Hip-Hop Mayor” recently traveled to Canada without court approval late July. This decision makes the mayor, currently in the midst of perjury allegations and felony charges, the first in Detroit’s history to be ordered to jail while still in office.

Despite an apology and claiming to never make the same mistake twice, Giles told the political figure his duty to apply fairness in his ruling. “If it was not Kwame Kilpatrick sitting in that seat,” he began, “if it was John Six Pack sitting in the seat—what would I do?”

It is likely that the mayor will spend a minimum of one evening in jail but should be released after posting $75,000 bail. What the hell are they waiting on to get this dude out of office? I understand that there are some bureaucratic issues to be meated out, but damn! What else is he going to be able to get away with?

Marion Jones Asks G-Dub For A Pardon

One of the fastest chicks on the field who is now spending her time running around the inside of the prison walls, Marion Jones, has asked President Bush to commute her six-month prison sentence for lying to federal agents about her use of performance-enhancing drugs and a check-fraud scam. The Justice Department confirmed Monday that Jones is among hundreds of convicted felons who have applied for presidential pardons or sentence commutations, but would provide no further details. A pardon is an official act of forgiveness that removes civil liabilities stemming from a criminal conviction, while a commutation reduces or eliminates a person's sentence.

Question, should her time be commuted just because of her "status", or should she remain and finish our her sentence?
