Rick Ross & Ciara Rap It Up

Rick Ross and Ciara have dual roles in the upcoming issue of Rap-Up mag. In his issue, the "Boss" talks about his on-going beef with 50 Cent, Eminem, and the rapper who he named his latest car after.

When asked why he believes that Eminem stays out of 50's dumb ass beefs:
“Because he knows 50 is a monkey. He’s Eminem’s personal monkey. Eminem is a genius for signing the monkey. Once Eminem is through with him and Jimmy Iovine’s through with him, he may end up on Maybach Music and be my monkey.”

Speaking on Kanye arrogance:
“He’s supposed to be. What is he supposed to do, not be flamboyant, not be fly, not be arrogant? Why not? I feel like why should another ni**a be insecure about another man. That’s a man; he got his own lane.”

On his could-have-been football career:
“When I started playing football in little league, all the small dudes could play, but I was too heavy. I was so focused that by the time I got to the eleventh grade, I was a blue-chip All-American. Over two years, I went from being nobody to being considered one of the top three linemen in Florida.”

On the flip side, it's Ciara. I love the cover of this one.

On her trust issues:
“It’s very hard to trust people because you really never know their motives. I’ve seen it enough times to where the person can be really cool and seem like your closest friend and they are doing something you never would imagine or expect from them, whether it’s talking about you or being around you to get information about you.”

On fellow ATLien Keri Hilson:
“I knew her back when she was really trying to get in pocket and become an artist, and I know she had been trying way longer than I had back then. Back in the day, I used to ask her to sing for me. I forgot what song she used to sing, but vocally I thought she was crazy. As a writer, I thought she was dope. We did one song together on my first album. That was back when we were kinda around each other.”

On Beyoncé comparisons:
“I know what work I put in to what I do and I know where I get my inspiration from and it’s definitely not the references that they put up on the Internet. People live for it. Negative energy travels faster than positive energy. Whoever it was, for them to dig deep down and find all those references, that’s ridiculous.”

I was really wanting her to open up about her relationship with Bow Wow... but...

Louis Vuitton Has Beef With Rick Ross

Ya know... you would think that with all of the influence that rap music has on the fashion world, that most of the top designers that are getting free pub by many of the artist wearing their brands would be appreciative right? WRONG!!!

Out of all of the genre's of music, the urban music artists whether it be rap, hip hop, r&b, pop, whatever, has had the most influence in what brands people go out and cop on their next shopping ventures. Wear is the loooooooove ya'll?

LVMH, which is the parent company that owns Louis Vuitton has set it's sights on it's next target- Rick Ross. Apparently the folks over at Louis V could give a good hot damn about more pub because they sicked their attorneys on the Miami rapper by sending an email to the editors of hip-hop mag XXL which featured Rick on cover of it's May issue, and the fashion press explaining their vehemenant disapproval of Rick wearing their shades on the cover. A LV in-house attorney explained the frames are not authentic and they did not grant permission for Ross or the mag to use them, so it is considered an illegal activity.

Whoa whoa whoa! Are these people serious? So is it illegal for me to be carrying my Gucci bag while taking pictures and posting them on my Myspace? Geeeet the fugg outta here Louis V. Ross is refuting the idea that the glasses are fakes and says they are authentic and he had them 'tricked out' by Jacob "Jack" Bernstein a.k.a. the Sunglasses Pimp of Jack's Eyewear in L.A.

Here is what Rick Ross had to say in response to all this mess in an interview he did recently with allhiphop.com
>"It's the same thing as buying a Rolls Royce and having it tricked out; just because the product has been customized by me doesn't take away from the fact that the frames are authentic. Louis Vuitton Millionaires."

Not quite sure what dude was trying to say but I know what he meant and I'm with him on this one. This is ridiculous. Remember a few months back when T.I. was shooting his Swing Ya Rag video and he was using a Gucci rag and the lame as folks over at Gucci put a halt to that whole little idea? Well yeah... same thing people! Bullshit if you ask me!

Rick Ross Finally Comes Clean

After months of strong denials, and accusing people of people snitches and *itches, Miami MC Rick Ross is admitting what anyone who’s not blind has known for months: He is in fact the clean shaven, chubby dude decked out in a prison CO uniform in those pictures.

The pictures of Ross circulated on the web like wild fire months back. Ross vehemenetly denied being a man of the law. He stuck to the story of him not ever working for any prison, despite The SmokingGun.com providing numerous documents including a job application with his legal name that were published.

Apparently, the rapper, who borrows his stage name from notorious Los Angeles cocaine dealer “Freeway” Ricky Ross, thought that acknowledging his old gig would cost him street cred. “Yes, it’s me,” Ross tells Don Diva magazine of the photographs. “…I done been up and I done been down, and that’s what makes me what I am. I never ratted on a n*gga. I never prosecuted a n*gga. I never locked up a n*gga. That’s first and foremost. …When I say that I’m rich off cocaine, it’s because I did it.” But he never “locked up” a person? Isn’t that what COs do?

Whatever dude. Why you couldn't come clean when this mess first came out? Now, you lookin like a big ass liar! I'd rather be known for holding down a legit job at one point than being a liar!
