Let The Rumors Fly: Latavia Roberson Writing Tell All Book

Yet another has been celeb has decided to go away and make money off of their life via tell all books. Latavia Roberson, formerly of Destiny's Child is supposedly in the process of writing a tell all book (like every other out of work celeb).

I think this one just might do pretty good. Aside from Latavia not doing much lately, I think we all want to know what's really real with Papa Knowles and his micromanaging tactics and is Beyonce really as goody goody as she appears to be.

Hopefully won't hear about Latavia being found off in a ditch somewhere with no memory of nothin or her being paid off to keep hush hush... But we all know how Papa works! Only time will tell

Dame Dash Tells It Like It T.I.is In Tell-All Book

We're used to people in hip hop spitting like a beast. But when one decides to sing like a bird, it definitely raises eyebrows. Apparently Damon Dash doesn't care about the weird looks he might get. The former hip hop mogul has penned an autobiographical memoir that is actually being described by sources as a candid "tell-all" book.

The book is said to include an in-depth account of Dame's life as CEO of a major record label, behind-the-scenes details of the makings of his musical empire, and an insider's view of the bond connecting the Roc-A-Fella family. But, most importantly, the book is said to reveal details surrounding his estrangement from longtime friend/partner Jay-Z and the controversial ROC split.

Insiders say Dame hopes this book will rescue him from his current place of obscurity, both physically and financially, and position him back into the limelight. The former Dynasty captain has suffered setbacks ranging from property foreclosures to divorce since the demise of his multi-million dollar Roc-A-Fella empire.

Sources say Dame employed Kim Osorio, the former editor-in-chief of Source magazine, to ghostwrite the tell-all. At press time, Dame was still pitching his book to numerous publishers for a possible distribution deal.

Amil To Release Tell All Book

Seems everyone is up in arms about former Rocafella member Amil Whitehead, aka "Amil", releasing a tell all book about her time spent over at the Rocafella house. Most of you should remember her from the song she did with Jay-Z for the Rush Hour soundtrack "Can I Get A...". Since then, her vocals could be heard on Jay-Z's third album "Vol. 2... Hard Knock Life". She released her debut album "A.M.I.L - All Money Is Legal" in 2000. That album didn't fare well in sales. Thus leading to the demise of her career on the Roc... but... not with a little bit back biting from Jay-Z regarding her weight gain. Amil gained weight because she wanted to have a baby and Jay-Z often would dis her on stage during many many shows for this reason. Damn shame! So I'm curious to hear her side of this whole thing. I highly doubt that Jay or Dame are scared about the release of this book.

Jackie-O Talks About Her Books and Beef

Miami rapper Jacki-O is a recognizable force among female rappers, especially since there aren't many in the industry as of late. But amazingly, this chick has sex appeal and charisma and often a trail of drama to go along with all of that.

Her second album, "Little Red Riding Hood", tackles some of those exact issues. Issues that have only made her a tougher emcee, which is why she has put the record label disputes and Foxy Brown altercations behind her. But she does talk about her newest venture, her tell-all book.

"I'm currently working on a book discussing the industry. I wouldn't say it's a tell-all, but in some ways it is," she says. "I don't hold nothing back in the book, I just tell the truth -- the way things are, things I've gone through, and refused to go through. Specifically, how the industry is male-dominated and tough on a female. I'm giving females that are coming in after me a heads-up."

Her story isn't without advice, though, especially for those aspiring female artists. While Jacki admits sex appeal is a part of the game, she warns not to give into pressure because there will be a lot of it. But, all the advice in the world won't prepare you because at the end of the day, it's gonna be a long, hard road.

"Sex appeal definitely plays a part in catching the eye of the fans, that's what the industry is based on for the most part, like who's the finest, who has the most jewelry -- it's very vain. Sometimes it can be a lot of pressure," she says. "The industry can be a bitch, there are a lot of things that play a part. The talent has to be there, if you ain't this bombshell. There are females who aren't talented, but they're pretty so they're able to get by. Then, there are some who aren't pretty, but they're talented, and they're able to get by. It's forever a struggle."

Jacki-O has endured all these same barriers before she was able to make it through the industry's red tape. Today, the rapper is not only promoting a new book, but also a new album. Little Red Riding Hood featured a more in-depth look at Jacki's life and career, as well as the sex-laden tracks for the late night tip. Also absent were beef-laced rhymes, which the rapper says she avoids like the plague despite some of the run-ins she's faced in the past.

"I try to stay away from the beef. Even when I came in the business, it wasn't originally a strategic marketing tool," Jacki explains. "Even when it was, I wasn't trying to get my name out there. I think that's wack, because your hard work and talent will see you through and get you out there. However when it came my way, it became a marketing tool. Beef kinda just came my way. However, it came, I embraced it, because it's all a part of hip hop, you know? It comes with the territory."

Through it all -- the beefs, the obstacles, label disputes, everything -- Jacki-O says that her inspiration is proving cynics wrong at the end of the day. "I like to see the look on their faces when they've tried everything to stop me and I endure and I continue. I love a challenge. Buffie The Body Tells All!

More Video hoesVixen's expose their lives and all they've endured through life. This time, Buffie Carruth aka Buffie the Body, has written a book titled Vixen Icon. Here is an exerpt from the book as she talks about how she felt in high school about her body:

"I often got depressed because I wasn't thick,'' Carruth writes. "All my life through school, I've noticed that girls had to be cute and pretty, or you had to be fine as hell with some ass and hips to be an 'in' girl. Even if you didn't have big breasts, it was cool as long as you had some ass. I didn't have any breasts, no ass, and no hips and that shit made me feel so insecure. I looked like a damn boy!''

Buffie also gives us an inside look at how she got her now infamous backside that's got all of the brothas droolin and some of you women too! In the book, she tells the readers about a visit to the doctor who she calls "Dr. X," whose office was 25 miles from her home. Supposedly this myseterious doc gave her the magic formula to help her gain weight in all the right places. She explains that Dr. X gave her a list of foods, including peanut butter and pasta, along with a prescription for an unnamed liquid appetite stimulant.

Even though she had her doubts as to if this stuff would work, she went through with it all anyways:

"Believe it or not, in less than 2 weeks, I had already started noticing a weight gain!'' she writes. "My ass, hips and thighs were the first parts of my body to receive this blessing. I noticed a little weight gain in my stomach area, too, but not enough to get alarmed by. It was like my ass and thighs just took off and left the rest of my body. My body started changing so fast that it seemed like it happened overnight. Everyone was noticing it too-and I mean everybody!"

Condoleeza Rice Gets Major Book Deal

Former White House Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, has reportedly inked a three-book deal with Crown Publishers, where she will begin with a memoir about her time spent working under the Bush administration.

According to the Associated Press, Rice's book deal is worth a reported $2.5 million, said two publishing officials who wished to remain anonymous. In a statement released by Crown, her book "will combine candid narrative and acute analysis to tell the story of her time in the White House and as America's top diplomat, and her role in protecting American security and shaping foreign policy during the extraordinary period from 2001-2009."

Rice's book is expected to hit shelves in 2011. In addition to her time at the White House, Rice will also pen books about her family, which is scheduled for 2012, and a young-adult edition of her family book that will come out at the same time. At press time, there were no titles for the planned books.

Condoleezza Rice has a long history with the Bush family. Under the first President Bush, she served as a foreign policy adviser, and then as national security adviser and secretary of state under President George W. Bush.Despite criticism for her extreme loyalty to the president, her personal story is quite interesting. According to the AP, she rose from a segregated community in Birmingham, Alabama, to become provost of Stanford University and eventually the first black woman to be secretary of state.In her family memoir, Rice will tell the story of her "upbringing in the context of the extraordinary efforts made by her parents and other people in the community to raise children against a backdrop of fading Jim Crow laws and emergent civil rights initiatives."

Bobby Brown Biography Released But Not With Consent From Bobby!

Now ya'll already know that Robert Berisford Brown is going to do his own damn thang... and on his own damn terms right? The tumultuous life of Grammy award-winning singer Bobby Brown is now the subject of The Truth, The Whole Truth, and Nothing But…, a new “unauthorized biography” of the artist’s life.

Initially, the book was going to just be a private memoir for Brown to reflect on his volatile 20-plus years in the entertainment industry. But then a close friend named Derrick Handspike, who by the way is also a longtime friend and co-writer of Andre Rison’s autobiography (Andre Rison is Lisa 'LeftEye' Lopes ex), urged the singer to seriously consider transforming his memoir into a no frills autobiography.

And so Bobby did... and it turned out to be 233 pages full of illicit affairs, and explosive truths.

But that was until right before the book was set to drop, Handspike learned that Bobby decided to not go through with it because he was afraid of how the book would hurt his family and reveal a little too much about his past.

The book chronicles Brown’s life from his childhood, rise to stardom with New Edition, drug problems, relationships, and his explosive 14-year marriage to Whitney Houston. Which is another reason why the book is considered "unauthorized"... because Whitney was magnanomously opposed to it's release.

“I had heard rumors that Whitney was trying to stop this book from coming out and that she was going to do whatever she had to do to keep it from being published,” Handspike states in book’s foreword. “I then started to wonder if Bobby had been influenced by Whitney not to go through with it. Whitney has been known, is known and will always be known as having a major influence on him. For whatever reason, Bobby, his lawyer and manager were not in a hurry to finalize the agreed upon book release deadlines!”

Despite this setback, Handspike made several changes to the book which legally allowed the go ahead for the project to be published, even without Brown’s final support.

“With all the hard work, time, and dedication to the project and money spent out of my pocket preparing this memoir, I decided to make the necessary changes to release it, Handspike stated. “I made the changes to revise the book so it reads as a biography in lieu of an autobiography.”

T.I. To Do Books and Film

Atlanta bred rapper T.I. recently revealed that he is planning to release a line of non-fiction books. T.I. divulged to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that one of the many books that he plans to release will be an autobiography which he will later turn into a film. “We’’re working on it now,” T.I. told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “We’re [also] working on a few different types of books. All nonfiction.” T.I. released his sixth solo album titled Paper Trail this week (September 30). The album, which features appearances from Ludacris and John Legend, is expected to sell close to 500,000 copies by next week. T.I. is also currently filming a crime caper titled Bone Deep. The cast for the flick incudes R&B superstar Chris Brown and Idris Elba.

Treach Was The Middle Man For Faith and Tupac's Hookup

If you have yet to go out and purchase Faith Evans new book, Keep the Faith: A Memoir, then you need to high tail it on over to Barnes and Noble, Borders, or whatever book store you can. Heck, I think they even sell it at Wal-Mart.

Anyways, in the book Faith talks about her chance meeting with the late Tupac Shakur and who hooked them up. Here's how it played out:

"One night, I went out to the Hollywood Athletic Club with some friends. As soon as we get inside, I see Treach from Naughty By Nature. We exchanged hugs and greetings and I introduced Treach to my friends."

"Somebody here wants to meet you," Treach said. "Who?" I asked.

"My boy Tupac wants to say what's up," Treach said, gesturing to a table behind him.

Before I go any farther, let me be absolutely clear on something. Many people have asked me why I wouldn't peel off in the opposite direction when I heard Tupac's name. And the answer is simple: There was no need. I didn't know anything about what label Pac was signed to, whom he was cool with, whom he had beef with.

"Almost immediately after we were introduced, a photographer who had been trolling the club for celebrities came up to us and asked us to pose."

After we exchanged pleasantries, Tupac began to compliment me. "I really like your music," he said. "I want to do a song with you."

I said, "You'd have to get clearance from my label to do that." "That's not a problem," he said. "It's not going to be cheap," I told him. "And, I need my money up front."

"How much?" I replied, "It's going to be twenty-five thousand dollars." "No problem," he said.

Two days later I spoke to Big. I told him, "I met Pac out here, he wants me to do a song with him." "Oh word?" Big said. "You gonna do it?" "If the money comes through, yeah, I'll do it."

"The next night was the party for the release of the "Waiting To Exhale," soundtrack. I took a limo to the party with my friend Nicci, a singer in the group Brownstone. A soon as we pulled up, my cell phone rung. "What's up Faith. Where you at?" It was Tupac. I told him I was at the Waiting To Exhale party. He said, "I'm here, too!"

"I looked out the car window, and there he was. He made a bee line for the car, opened up the door and jumped in the backseat with us. I wasn't planning on hanging out with Pac. I introduced him to my friend and we chatted until it was time to hit the red carpet." When we got inside the venue, I found our table and sat down. I was just starting to get comfortable when Pac slid into a chair next to me and Nicci. He was acting like he was going to sit there for the rest of the night.

"Tupac eventually left our table and was mingling. After the party ended, we went outside to our limo and Tupac was standing there. "Where ya'll going now?" "We're going to a party at the Peninsula hotel," I said quickly. He said, "That's where I'm staying!" I'll catch a ride over there with ya'll. Tupac jumped in the limo and stretched out, making himself comfortable. Now, I was definitely feeling weird."

"After the party at the hotel, we hung out a bit more with Tupac and his friends, shared a blunt and discussed specifics on my guest appearance on an upcoming record."

A few days later, Pac arrived at my house driving a black convertible Mercedes-Benz with the top down. At this time, Pac had enough fame and notoriety that he did not need to be driving around Los Angeles in a top-down convertible. At that moment I wanted to tell him that I would drive to the studio myself in my rental car. But I didn't. I just got in the car and we pulled off. I noticed immediately that a black Town Car was following us. From the look of the beefy guys in the backseat, they were security guards.

"The ride to the studio was about 15 minutes. We didn't talk much. I didn't like any of it, the convertible, the security behind us, none of it felt right. I decided I would go in, lay down my vocals and haul ass out of the studio as soon as possible."

We pulled up to a nondescript parking lot in nearby Tarzana. I followed Tupac through the doors. As soon as the doors opened, I saw blood-red carpeting throughout the hallway entrance and lighted sign that said "Death Row Records."

"I felt the blood rush from my face and I thought I was going to pass out."

Pepa Tells It Like It Is

Sandy "Pepa" Denton of 80's hit female rap group Salt-N-Pepa, is joining the ranks of celebrities releasing autobiographies.

Her book, Let's Talk About Pep, co-written with Karen Hunter, will be released by VH1 Books at the end of this month.Described as a tell-all, Pepa is supposed to offer an uncensored look at her life including her troubled childhood, surviving abuse, her first encounters with Cheryl "Salt" James and their ups and downs, her failed marriages and her escape from domestic abuse, and starring in reality shows like The Surreal Life and The Salt-N-Pepa Show."

Most of you know me as Pep, or Pepa, the fun-loving half of Salt-N-Pepa," she says. "I am the party girl, the one who is down for whatever. But behind the laughs and the smiles is a whole lot of pain."Queen Latifah penned the book's introduction and Missy Elliott closes it out with the epilogue. Other celebrities like LL Cool J, Martin Lawrence, and Spinderella, make cameos.

Duke Lacrosse Rape Accuser Pins Tell All Book

The woman who accused three former Duke Lacrosse players of rape and assault – in a case that was ultimately dismissed – is writing a book described by her manager as a "tell-all memoir," reports Durham-Raleigh's news station WTVD.

"The Last Dance for Grace: The Crystal Mangum Story," due in October, is "the only definitive account of the life and struggles of the woman at the center of the Duke Lacrosse case, the alleged accuser," according to Mangum's co-author Vincent Clark.

"Were it not for the Duke Lacrosse Case, she likely would be described as a bright, young woman from Durham, North Carolina, who has had a difficult life," Clark said.

The three Lacrosse players – David Evans, Collin Finnerty and Reade Seligmann – were declared innocent of all charges after the State Attorney General's Office reviewed the case. Former Durham County District Attorney Mike Nifong was disbarred and jailed following the collapse of the case. Nifong is among several defendants named in at least three federal lawsuits stemming from the ordeal.

Faith Evans Writes About Her Life With and Without Biggie

Faith Evans has been on the hush about the death of her estranged husband, The Notorious B.I.G. since his untimely death 11 years ago. She now wants to tell her side of the story about that fateful night, and what was really going on between her and BIG.

Faith is pinning a tell all book entitled "Keeping The Faith". The 368 page memoir, which is slated to hit stores August 29th, will shed light on her turbulent relationship with Biggie, her affair with Tupac Shakur and what Biggie really meant to her. Scorned by drug abuse rumors and Biggie’s alleged relationship with Lil Kim, Evans side of the tale has never been revealed, which has lead to incorrect assumptions and fallacies. “My journey has been complicated on many levels. And since I am always linked to B.I.G., there are a lot of misconceptions about who I really am” Evans said of the memoir.

Of course, many of B.I.G.’s close cohorts have revealed his story through their eyes, but none will come as close as the accounts given from his wife, Faith Evans. She added, “B.I.G. never got a chance to tell his story,” Faith said. “It’s been left to others to tell it for him. In making the decision to tell my own story, it means that I’ve become one of those who can give insight to who B.I.G. really was. But I can only speak of what he meant to me."

Nicole Richie's Book To Hit Televison.

Back in 2005, Nicole Richie wrote a book called "The Truth About Diamonds." Well, now she's going to put that book into a TV series, E! reports.

"I would definitely produce and definitely be in the show," the 26-year-old told E! "I don't know if I need to be the star of this show," she added. "I've got a lot going on right now."

Right now, Nicole's main focus is on her six month old daughter Harlow whom she takes care of along side her boyfriend/rocker Joel Madden.

The storyline of "The Truth About Diamonds" basically covers Richie's own life: Twenty-something protagonist Chloe Parker – adopted by a famous musician – comes of age amid the troubles of young Hollywood.

Nicole is currently working on a second book, but wishes not to divulge any of the details.

Eddie and Gerald Levert

The book was in the making before Gerald passed away back in 2006. Hip Hop On the DL

Instead of reading another Video Vixen "freaks of the industry" tale, we now have a male persepctive into the secret life of the homosexual rappers in the entertainment industry. I'm sure we've all heard about Pastor Mason Betha trolling the Atlanta corners for tranny fullfilment, but this book is supposed to be a tell all about it! Former MTV executive, Terrance Dean is about to blow the whistle on a few folks. Although, unlike Supahead, he's not naming names, which to me, defeats the purpose of even writing the book, but whatever dude! In the book, Dean writes of tales of the underworld of the homosexual rappers, producers, and songwriters of the industry. Excluding names and replacing them with psuedo names. He talks about the black church community, sex, drugs, and family. Like I said, it defeats the purpose if you're not naming names. I hate blind writing and "who do you think it may be" -ish! If you have the nerve enough to put people on blast and give their activities in vivid detail, dammit just tell the full story. I'm sure the book drops enough clues that we can put two and two together. Dean says that he's not trying to hurt anyone, hence him not disclosing real names. Note to Terrance, if you didn't want to hurt anyone, you shouldn't have wrote the damn book! PERIOD!
