Ne Yo Tells Rising Star: Lose Some Weight
I'm at a loss here. On one hand, I can see where Ne Yo is coming from with his advice to the young lady about her "slimming down" a bit in order to be able to make it in the pop-n-b world, but on the other hand, I'm like... look at Jill, Jennifer, Jazmine, and several other plus sized women who have made it in the industry. They didn't conform to what their labels wanted them to be and look at how successful they are. Oh well... but I'm mad he put Beyonce out there like that by tellin ol' girl that Bey is naturally a "big girl". LMAO!!! HIL-AR-I-OUS!

Ne-Yo Speaks On ChriRih Situation
In more of the ChriRih saga, singer/songwriter Ne-Yo says that he has spoken to Rihanna since the alleged incident between the pop singer and ex-boo Chris Brown.
“I spoke to Rihanna,” Ne-Yo told MTV News. “She says she’s fine. She didn’t go into detail about what happened. I understand it’s a painful situation; I didn’t push.” *givin dude the side-eye* yeah ok Ne-Yo... don't call off your engage because of this mess either!!! Ya'll know Ne-Yo wanted him some Rihanna before C.B. moved smoove on in dere'.
Ne-Yo, a friend of both of the stars, said he has seen the photo and was very affected by it.
“I saw the picture,” he confirmed. “That just really — that hurt me to my heart, man. Again, I still don’t know what happened, ‘cause I haven’t had the opportunity to talk to Chris yet. But to take it to that level really hurt my heart.”
Ne-Yo claims that he's been trying to get in touch with Chris (right), but to no avail, hasn't had much luck.
“All I can say is, I’m praying for both of them. They’re both in my prayers. I haven’t had a chance to talk to Chris yet. I just wanna sit down and talk to that dude and just explain if he doesn’t understand: ‘That’s not something that’s excusable, bruh. You have to get a little smarter about whatever it is going on in your relationship. You have to get a little smarter about how you handle certain situations,’” Ne-Yo said. Riiiight... just like you were smart about speeding down C.ome O.n B.lack B.oy Parkway going over 100 miles an hour???
Anyways, while the singer is dishing out sound advice for Chris Brown, he also said he still cares about the young man. “I’m not going to crucify him,” the R&B star said. “I’m not going to do that. That’s still my homeboy at the end of the day. For it to go to that level was wrong. I won’t say who was responsible. I won’t pick no sides. I’m just saying it was wrong that it had to happen like that, and I’m praying for the both of them.”

A Big F-U From Ne-Yo... To U!
I guess Kanye isn't the only "kid" that can throw one hell of a bitch fit because another "kid" on da block, Ne-Yo, left all of you adoring fans out there and you haters a nice little message on his myspace blog today. Why he felt the need to address these issues now after months, and years, is beyond me. Check it out:One rule of being a gentleman is to keep your cool and composure at all cost, but right about now I gotta loosen up this tie and take off this expensive suit jacket and talk to the people for a minute. The haters especially.
Pardon my french, but what the fuck is wrong with y’all!?! Are you so desperate for an R&B bad guy that you gotta find a way to create one in me??
Okay, the comment about light skinned babies…….an obvious joke, maybe not a good joke, but clearly a joke.Y’all REALLY took that serious!?!
I understand that a hater’s job is to hate, clearly. But it’s when people start feeding in to what a hater is saying that something must be addressed.
The whole gay thing. For goodness sake it’s been 4 years!!!! Y’all still on that huh? The whole “boys” song, and the song “go over there”. See this is what happens when people steal. These songs were clearly written for women. Had you been patient, you would have heard them the way they were supposed to be heard, with the voice of the intended artist on em’. But noooo, someone gets a hold of these demos and suddenly everybody forgets that I write songs for women. Riiight.
I tell People Magazine thatYoung Jeezy’s crib is right next to mine and that once I saw him in there from across the way. I then make a JOKE about him maybe not wanting to walk around naked in his crib with the shades up cause the buildings are THAT close to each other, and that AIN’T something I care to see. Suddenly, everybody thinks I said I saw Young Jeezy in his crib naked when, NEVER ONCE did I say anything like that.
I mean come on people. Is this really what you’re gonna spend time on??Will you not be satisfied until I truly become this asshole you so desperately want me to look like??
Here’s my stand on the whole thing:
I’m NOT gay, I’m NOT prejudice to anyone, I DID NOT get stomped out by Jim Jones or anyone else, I’m NOT engaged, I’M NOT STUPID.And to anyone that INSISTS on thinking that any of these things are true……FUCK YOU.To the haters….find some new material please!!! It’s 2009, our president is black!!! Time for change. To everyone else……I love you to death, thanx for all your support.WE PLATINUM ROUND HERE!!!!!
Much love, and see you at the grammy’s. Check the suit…..it’s gonna be TROUBLE!!!

Ne-Yo Sticks His Foot Up His You Know What!
Soooo, you talk -ish about Yung Burg and the dumb comments he made about light skinned vs dark skinned women... but you turn right around and do the same damn think Ne-Yo??? Really dude?
Anyways... dumb ass here was being interviewed by some radio station, when the host (a 'Becky') asks if he's seeing anyone. Ol' glad said that she was glad that he wasn't dating anyone so she could now have him all to herself. Uhhhh, yeah!
This a$$holes response and I quote cuz it's on video, "All the prettiest kids are light skinned anyway.” STOP IT Ne-Yo! Did that -ish really come out your mouth... for real? I was really hoping that he would go back and say something like, "naw... *laugh* I'm just playin" but he didn't!

Ne-Yo Talks Slick About Some Folks In The Industry
Ne-Yo is a lil dirty son of a .... According to reports, Ne-Yo was caught acting ‘un-gentlemanly’ at Big Boy and Luscious Liz’s ‘Big Boy’s Neighborhood Morning Show’ the other day. The singer was asked to answer questions from the "Hat of forbidden questions" which is a series of questions that have to be answered with no hesitation on Big Boy's Neighborhood Morning show.
Ne-Yo was asked, "if you could slap one person, who would it be?" His response, Young Berg. I can’t respect anyone who’s not trying to do anything original. That song that he has out, The Bizness, it very much like what Lil Wayne is doing, and what T-Pain is doing right now. And it upsets me. That’s what wrong with music business today, everyone is copycatting everyone
Also, Ne-Yo was asked saying "Chris Brown gave me a hug and he was musty and I immediately let him know". He also goes on to say that he lost his virginity at 9, and that he's been with more than his fair share of the groupies... if you know what I mean *wink*

Ne-Yo and Marilyn Manson? Collaborating?
I'm sitting here with my eyes closed, truly and sincerely trying to get a visual of this duo together on anybodies stage collaborating. And... I just can't see it... but Ne-Yo and Marilyn Manson damn sure can.
So much so, that they will be getting together real soon. Ne-Yo says that he and Marilyn are totally serious about doing this. "It's going to be interesting," Ne-Yo said the other night at the L.A. premiere of The Secret Life of Bees. "I have no idea what we're going to do, what it's going to sound like. Just Ne-Yo and Marilyn Manson in the same room—we're going to figure something out."
Ne-Yo said he was approached by Manson's people after he boasted in a media interview that he's so flexible, he could even write a song for the rocker. I don't know though, it might be interesting. Ne-Yo is an excellent writer and can work wonders with an artist, so this is definitely a project I look forward to hearing.

Ne-Yo To Make An Autobiographical Film... Sort Of!
I see young Ne-Yo has been a pretty busy guy lately. Aside from his many writing, producing, and singing gigs, he's now adding film-maker to the repertoire.
The R&B singer just released his third lp a few weeks ago titled, "Year of the Gentleman", which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. With the music scene becoming more monotinous by the day, Ne-Yo is about to expand his foray into Hollywood with a semi-autobiographical film that he describes as his own "8 Mile".
“We are putting together the next film right now as we speak, as a matter of fact. The name of the movie is Venice Beach and basically it’s going to be my 8 Mile, loosely based on my life, but not really,” says the 28-year-old singer/songwriter.
After his first movie back in 2007 with Stomp The Yard, Ne-Yo is aiming for perfection with this one. “There’s a lot of room for it to be either really good or really corny. We gotta make sure the script is right, so that’s why we ain’t start shooting yet. We gotta get it right." He's aiming for December to begin the actual filming of the movie.

Ne-Yo Wants Some Shine Time
Ne-Yo is really coming off like a big ass baby right here! The R&B Multi-platinum artist has lashed out at the media for not giving him enough spotlight! This is a real *itch move Ne-Yo... just for the record. Who does this kind of stuff? Anyways, he blames the snub on his clean-living lifestyle.
The Closer hitmaker believes his talents are not recognized in the press, despite two-multi platinum albums and a Grammy award, because he is too straight-laced. And the star believes the media would prefer him to be more like hard-partying Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs or a drug-taking rock star.
He says, “People feel that because I’m a fully functional adult and not a heroin addict, I won’t sell magazines. “Everybody wants me to be the guy sleeping with every celebrity woman in this industry. Everyone wants me to be this guy in the club, popping 17 bottles. Everybody wants me to be Diddy, but that’s not me.”
Would you like some cheese with that damn WHINE Ne-Yo??? Could grief Charlie Brown!!! Will somebody give this dude a magazine cover just once so he can shut the hell up with all this mess? I think I'm just going to sit back and wait to see what dude does to get some attention! Any body have any ideas of what he'll come up with? I can think of a few, but they ain't thangs that "straight" laced boys do!

Ne-Yo Get's Help From Entertainment Pals For Hennessey Tour
This evening in Los Angeles, Hennessy will make its first stop in a six-day concert series entitled the Hennessy Artistry Concert Series.
The concert series will feature performances by artists such as Eve and LL Cool J along with performances by the series' curator Ne-Yo.
"Hennessy and I are a good mix," Ne-Yo said in a statement. "Hennessy is known for its skilled blending of tradition with trendy innovation, in its drinks and in its appeal. That's a lot like what I try to do with my music. I'm always trying to find the right balance of class and urban style."As curator to the series, Ne-Yo will serve as an ambassador of Hennessy and will also take part in behind the scenes activities such as planning and execution.
"With his unique mix of classic refinement and hip hop appeal, Ne-Yo is the perfect curator to shape the ambiance of the Hennessy artistry concert series," Andy Glaser, SVP of Hennessy U.S. said in a statement. "Ne-Yo will create Hennessy's mix of class and style in the concerts' settings."After Los Angeles, the tour will then go on to five other major cities including Chicago, Detroit, Miami, New Orleans, and New York.
The performer's for the October finale show in New York have yet to be announced, but Hennessy promises that the show will include performances by, "some of the most formidable performers in music today."

Ne-Yo Caught Fakin The Funk?
No, not really, but a party promoter was. SOME nightlife promoters are so desperate to fill their parties, they'll even put a fake performer onstage. On a recent Sunday night, the promoter group Party at NYC, rented out the club Mansion, on West 28th Street, and sold tickets to a Ne-Yo concert. Too bad the crooner already had a gig and was around the corner, hosting a party at Guest House, on West 27th. One source said tickets to the fake Ne-Yo concert "were sold for $20 in advance and $35 for VIP seats." At about 1:30 a.m., the promoters "said Ne-Yo is in traffic and will be here in 45 minutes. Then, 20 minutes later, the audience was told Ne-Yo was there. Then they put a fake Ne-Yo onstage, but it didn't work, so they finally said Ne-Yo was stuck in the Gulf of Mexico." A rep for the performer told Page Six, "Ne-Yo was never confirmed to perform at club Mansion that weekend, and there was never a performance scheduled or any contracts signed for Ne-Yo to appear."
Well damn! How do you put a "fake" Ne-Yo on stage? Out of all people to have a double... Ne-Yo? Yakkety Yak!

Ne-Yo Tells R Kelly... Double Up Homie!
Ne-Yo is showing that big Cheshire Cat smile of his real big right about now. The R&B star has scored a nice payday for being dumped from R. Kelly's road show last year. A Los Angeles judge has ordered Kelly's promoter to pony up $700,320 to the "Because of You" Grammy winner.
Ne-Yo went to court in December, alleging he was bounced from the Double Up tour because his opening set was getting better reaction from fans and critics than Kelly's. The bill also featured Keyshia Cole and J. Holiday.
Superior Court Judge Malcolm Mackey made his default judgment after Georgia-based Rowe Entertainment refused to respond to the lawsuit filed by Ne-Yo under his real name, Shaffer Smith.
Per his suit, Ne-Yo was supposed to earn $785,000 on the 25-date jaunt, but the 25-year-old performer was canned by Rowe after the second show on Nov. 15 and only received a fraction of the contracted amount.
At the time, the promoter blamed the dismissal on Ne-Yo's camp for not completing the proper paperwork.
There was no immediate comment from either Ne-Yo or Rowe on the judge's ruling. Kelly was not named as a defendant in the suit.
It's shaping up to be a big month for the rising star, whose third studio album, Year of the Gentleman, drops Sept. 16.
