I reported to you the other day that Nate Dogg was in critical condition following his second stroke in less than 10 months Today, it's being reported that the West Coast crooner is in stable condition and doing better than before. Rod McGrew, the artist’s long time manager assured media sources that although the singer is currently being hospitalized his condition is favorable.
“He is back in the hospital,” McGrew confirmed. “He did suffer from a second stroke. He is in stable condition. The prognosis at this time is favorable. We’re positive, prayerful, hopeful and patient.”
Nate Dogg, born Nathaniel Hale, suffered his first stroke in December of 2007. After being treated at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center in California, the former Death Row recording artist was moved to a medical-rehab facility to complete his recovery.
“He was making excellent progress with his recovery from the first stroke,” McGrew told SOHH. “This is an unfortunate setback.”
Nate Dogg suffered his second stroke on Friday, September 5th and was once again admitted to the hospital. McGrew declined to disclose which hospital is treating the singer and expressed his desire for privacy during the recovery process.
“We welcome all prayers in support of Nate’s recovery but we would appreciate privacy,” he said.
