50 Cent Removes Tats For Movie

Recognizing that conforming to the masses is usually how it goes down when you're a part of Hollywood, rapper 50 Cent was recently willing to sacrifice some of his body art to help solidify his acting career. After having to arrive early on the set of a recent movie he was filming to have his tattoos covered up, 50 realized that the process was becoming way too time consuming. To better accommodate things he had his most visible tattoos removed from his body.

"I took some of the tattoos off because on the movie set if we got a six o'clock call time, I have to be there two o'clock the night before", 50 said in a statement. "I gotta go through four hours of make up before we go ahead and play the role. So, I just took it off my arm. My right arm."

While some of 50's tats are gone he kept his noted "50 Cent" and "Southside" ink -- located on his back.The rapper-turned-actor is set to star alongside Val Kilmer, Sharon Stone and Michael Biehn, in a new film titled 'Streets of Blood,' which is centered around street gangs and corrupt law enforcement in post-Hurricane Katrina New Orleans.

50 Cent Pays Tribute to Michael Jackson

50 Cent was the first rapper to release a Michael Jackson themed song slash tribute when he released two new tracks just hours after the news of Jackson’s death broke. “Where You Are” samples the King Of Pop’s song of the same name and features 50 rapping:

“They say I ain’t lyrical, they say I ain’t a miracle. I say some hard sh*t, then they say I ain’t spiritual/They act like they know God better than me, I know God a lod, I used to pump crack up the street.”

*blank stare*...Both new 50 Cent songs, the second being “Respect It Or Check It“ are from his upcoming “Forever King” mixtape that hits on July 3rd. The new mixtape is the follow-up to last years “Sincerely Yours, Southside” Mixtape.

I reported to you guys a few weeks ago that 50 Cent had a new brain fart for the world. Well earlier this week 50 debuted his first fragrance 'Power by Fifty Cent' at Avenue in NYC. Now if we could just get him to handle his business and shut the hell up, we'd all be in good shape!

50 Cent Hits Up The Entourage Set

50 Cent will become the latest rapper slash actor to appear on the HBO series “Entourage.” Last week 50 posted a picture of himself with Jerry Ferrara (who plays “turtle”) and Andrian Grenier (who plays “vince”). Now another picture of 50 Cent in a luxury car has hit the net in addition to the the trailer for the upcoming season 6 which hits on July 12th. In related news, 50 Cent recently appeared on the Jimmey Kimmel Live show. In the interview with Kimmel, the G-Unit general talked about everything from baseball and Bette Midler to his new album.

50 Cent Has A New Business Idea

50 Cent is at it again. He's still got the idea that he can rule the world, and heck... if he keeps at it, he very well might have a large stake in it. 50 has decided to bring us his smell. Not actually the smell of himself but a new mens fragrance. He and Lighthouse Beauty, which is the company headed by his manager, Chris Lighty, have joined forces to launch the mens cologne 'Power by 50 Cent' which will be available in Macy's stores nationwide this fall.

50 Cent Is At It Again

Here we go again folks! More beef to sell albums. 50 Cent is once again, going after Kanye West and Lil Wayne. 50 was on Sirius Satellite Radio show Shade 45 this weekend. "I'm surprised he got away with it," 50 said when discussing Kanye West's platinum album, '808s & Heartbreak.'

"That album is supposed to be a brick." 50 began mocking West's all-singing, vocoder-laced album. The two men were set to go head-to-head for the second year in a row, but the Chicago-bred producer's album was released a month early while 50's album was delayed. 50 went on to attack Lil Wayne, calling the rapper a "junkie" and "little baby."

"Wayne had a great album, but he makes a lot of records and I think he's gonna exhaust the public with his sound," he said. "He's a talented artist, but if you put us in a space where we're in competition, my consistency will break his neck."... is this dude serious? Has he not peeped his albums sales from TOS or that other crap he put out when he went against Kanye? The oooooooonly reason why he sold as many as he did when he went against Kanye was because of the hype behind the whole competition.

As most of you know, 50 has another album set to be released in early Feb... so we all know what this is about. As I have said before and I'll say it again. Stick to selling Vitamin Water 50, because rapping ain't your thing... and if you can't sell your albums off of your verbal skills, and you have to resort to attacking people... then you your damn self know that your rapping ain't worth a damn! He goes on to say, "I do this the best," 50 said as he boast about his ability to cause drama. "I'm relevant year round. To be honest with you, the reality television show [MTV's 'The Money & The Power,' which has since been canceled because it was GARBAGE] was nothing but a commercial for my album." I'll give it to him... he's got a good GIMMICK... but that's all it is. Doesn't seem to prove too profitable. The Vitamin Water deal and that whack ass Get Rich or Die Trying is how dude is getting paid! I'm sure he invests and all that crap, but who gives a damn! Sit the *uck down, and shut the *uck up 50!!! GEESH!

Soooooooo, I'm hereing that G-Unit "member" (I use the quotes because we all know the deal) Young Buck is working steadfastedly at trying to get out of his contract with 50 Cent. Ya'll know that 50 is like Diddy when it comes to these contracts and his money being effected; It ain't goin down if it don't benefit G-Unit in some way, shape, or form. So anyways, from what's being said, Buck and his new management team are looking to the ATL mega fam of T.I.'s Grand Hustle as their new home! Buck would be a good fit with them if you ask me. Perfect to be exact! Let's just roll them dice and see what happens on this one!

50 Cent Debuts Reality Show Tonight

Even though 50 Cent claims he's not copying successful business icon Donald Trump, it sure looks like it. 50 has a new show on MTV, where business-savvy contestants compete for a shot at fame and a huge cash prize.

"Immediately when you say a reality show that has a business spin to it, they think 'The Apprentice,' and the difference is these people don't actually want to work for me," the 32-year-old said in a recent interview. "They have their own business ideas that they created and they're competing for $100,000 in seed money." Ok... so that's the only difference between your show and Donalds!

The show, titled "50 Cent: The Money and the Power" debuts tonight (Thursday) at 9pm EST. It features 14 contestants competing to show that they are the best entrepreneurs. 50 Cent will chop down the number of contestants until the winner is crowned.

The rapper and mogul said the show is like a visual companion to his upcoming book, "The 50th Law," with Robert Greene, who wrote "The 48 Laws of Power."

"Ahead of my actual music taking off, I would have wanted to be on the show," he said. "$100,000 would have been great, and the MTV exposure." People will be seeing a lot of 50 Cent in the next few months. Besides the MTV project, he is releasing his latest album, "Before I Self Destruct," on Dec. 9. The CD includes an accompanying feature-length film with the same title.

"I'm excited, it's the first project I wrote, produced and starred in," says 50 of the flick, which comes free with the CD. The deluxe version of the album features yet another film — this one a documentary on former mentor, Run-DMC's pioneering DJ, Jam Master Jay, who was slain in 2002

50 Cent Has A Green Thumb

50 Cent can now add horticulturist to his tremendously diversified resume. Well... not exactly but the rapper/actor now can somewhat consider himself a gardener. Blame it on Bette Midler’s charitable green thumb. The unlikely duo teamed up Monday to celebrate the opening of “The Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson Community Garden” in Queens, New York.

And how did Bette and 50 get together for the project? “I called and nagged him,” Bette told People. “His G-Unity Foundation gives a million dollars away every year in grants to non profits all over the city … They’re just brilliant.”

The community garden, which is part of Bette’s New York Restoration Project, is located in Jamaica, Queens, where the rapper grew up.

“I wish I had this to come to when I was growing up around here,” 50 told the mag. “The opportunity to create this garden for the youth and the community is a great one.” And, 50 said Bette made him an offer he couldn’t refuse.

“When Bette calls you don’t say ‘no.’ Not if you want your reputation to stay the way it is,” 50 said. Will the community garden be the first of many collaborations between the singer and the rapper?

“Absolutely!” he said, as he hugged and laughed with Bette. “He’s producing my next record,” Bette joked. “I will be rapping. He’s writing a song for me right now.”

50 Cent and Ex Come To Agreement On Visitations

Finally!!! The summer soap opera of 50 and the family is over. Rapper 50 Cent has reached a settlement with his ex-girlfriend over visitation of their 11-year-old son. The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, will get one weekend per month with his son Marquise, as well as one month in the summer and half of each his winter and spring breaks.

Both sides say they are satisfied with the deal, which was reached Wednesday in Suffolk County Family Court in Central Islip, New York. The boy and his mother, Shaniqua Tompkins, had been living in the Long Island community of Dix Hills when a fire destroyed the mansion last May. An arson investigation is ongoing.

Let The Rumors Fly: Aubrey O'Day New G-Unit Chick?

I don't know how plausible this is, but I wouldn't doubt it. I'm hearing news that the newly ousted Bad-Girl Aubrey O'Day will take Olivia's non-existant place in the G-Unit fam. We all know how 50 Cent did Olivia. Buying her a house and then taking it back once he realized she was of no real value to the crew. But what better time for Ms. Skankarella O'day than now. She's out of a job, and looking for some new black boys to fondle. And we all know that 50 is good for promoting beef and who has more of a reason to have beef with anybody right now than Aubrey? Although, this would be a wise move on 50's part... unlike that Mase move. And we all know if anything goes down with this rumor, Diddy is damn sure he's going to turn a profit on it. And Aubrey has quite a fan base, and she can sing. So she actually has more things going for her than Olivia and Mase put together! Anyways, I'll keep ya posted!

50 Cent Claims Jay Z Not Famous Until April 4!

I know I know... ya'll are just as tired of hearing about 50 Cent as I am, but... dude just won't shut the *uck up!!!

If I didn't know any better, I'd have to say that after I heard this comment, I could definitively say that dude has been under a damn rock! Ok... well maybe not under a rock, but I'm sure his uber inflatted ego was the reason for his recent ramblings to MTV.com.

The Get Rich or Die Trying star has just made the outrageous claim that rap rival Jay Z wasn't all that famous until he married Beyoncé! Yes... you heard me right! Dude really thinks that Jay, one of the most famous rappers in the world, has only been a celebrity since April, despite the fact he had his first international hit in 1998.

"I'm a big fan of Jay-Z," 50 told MTV.com, "but outside of the States and hip-hop circles, no one really knew who he was until he married." Are you serious Fif? Surely some of the people who bought 50 million+ of Jay's records outside of the US must know who he is. But he might be a little closer to the mark on this one. 50 Cent also argued that the entrepreneur doesn't have $1 billion in the bank, despite several reports that he does."I don't believe he's worth that much!," he told the site. " It's all been exaggerated. I'm comfortable. I don't want for anything so I'm not in a race."

50 Cent Brings New CD To Life With Movie To Along

To be real with ya'll... I actually liked 50's movie "Get Rich or Die Tryin". Although, it's not anything that made me want to see it twice, let alone even think about him putting a different spin on it. But that's just what ya boy 50 Cent has done with his new film that's coming out.

Mirroring his Interscope-debut Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, 50 Cent will bring his much anticipated album Before I Self-Destruct to life with a film of the same name to follow, according to Rolling Stone mag.

Directed and produced by the G-Unit general himself, 50 aims to bring a different perception to the “urban life-style” that many films fail to connect to. “I showed characters under pressure in scenarios where they felt like there were no other options, even though there were,” 50 continued, “There are always options. People just usually start to see them while being incarcerated [rather than] seeing them in the first place.”

50 Cent will simultaneously release a soundtrack with the film, though none of the tracks from his album will be featured on it. “Interscope would automatically have the rights to it, when they had absolutely no ownership of the actual material,” 50 explained. Instead, he hired unsigned artists to record for the soundtrack that he reportedly wrote as well, an innovative move that will give it an organic feel similar to the film. Impressed by his own decision, 50 Cent let be known that he “kept the music up to standards.”

The album Before I Self-Destruct is tentatively scheduled for a December release, with the film and soundtrack coming soon afterward. Will I be going to see this... hell naw! To I even want to buy it on bootleg? Are you for real?

G-Unit Clothing... Back To A Store Near You!

Earlier this year in February, G-Unit clothing parted ways with Mark Ecko’s Mark Ecko Enterprises, a move that decidedly had people scratching their heads despite its successful capital gains. With the split, it was reported that 50 Cent also walked away with full ownership rights.

After speculation as to where G-Unit clothing would find its new home, 50 Cent has finally made his decision; back with Mark Ecko Enterprises.

The re-launch of G-Unit clothing comes at an opportune time for 50 Cent, who took a marketing strategy class from Snoop Dogg [click to read] with plans to integrate his clothing line into different ventures including his soon to be released album Before I Self Destruct, video game Blood In The Sand, tour, book, and other media outlets he partakes in.

*SIGH*... I thought I was going to be sick when I heard that Ray-J was getting his own reality show... but I definitely know that now, I need a bucket!

Reports are coming out that the G-Unit crew are going to be getting their own reality show on MTV. I guess if Three Six Mafia could do it, so can 50 and the girlzboys. What could these three possibly do or say that could be of any interest to the public? I am shocked and appalled. LOL!!! I guess I shouldn't be shocked. I think we all knew this day was coming when these three clowns would totally invade our televisions for more than 10 mins of fame.

I guess it's true what they say, "the rich just keep getting richer". This much is definitely true in the case of rapper/entrepreneur 50 Cent aka Curtis Jackson. Forbes.com just published an article on the self-made millionaire calling him this years "Cash King", earning twice as much as last year's king Jay-Z and more than four times the amount of money as Diddy.

50 doesn't have it in him to stop grinding. He's got his hands in everything from precious metals, clothes, flavored waters, shoes, video games, ringtones, and the list could go on and on. All of which have earned him. Why is 50 Cent so rich? Simple, he diversifies. He doesn't limit himself to what he wants to invest his time and money in. He goes for the things that no one expects him to get involved in, which has proved to be very smart.

With 50 earning more than $150 million in the last year, his summer hit of last year "I Get Money" is apprapo and definitely the remix that he, Jay-Z and Diddy did together was spot on with the three of them being at the top pinnacle of the Hip Hop millionaires.
